Something has changed at this location. I've been getting wings & pizza from here since they opened but the service and quality of the food has went down hill recently.
I ordered wings one night last week and they had to be the worst I have ever had from Rosatis and possibly the worst from anywhere. They were floating in grease when I got them home and they had a sickening color to them, almost grey. They were tough and almost impossible to chew. I had twelve wings and was only able to eat six of them. The rest went into the garbage. I was going to take them back but didn't want to go through the hassle. I might give them another try, just to see if this one was a fluke or something.
After my wing experience, I ordered a thin crust pizza a couple nights later. I asked them to go easy on the sauce, which I always do and when I got it, it was drowning in sauce. It was almost like, "OK, we'll show this guy" and poured the sauce on it. I have never had a pizza from there with the amount of sauce that was on the one that night. The crust was also soggy and droopy, almost like a NY style pizza.
Oh, I forgot to mention, it took 14 minutes on the phone to get my order right because I had a coupon. It didn't sound like anyone there knew what to do. Again, like the wings, I'll give them one more try with the Pizza and if it's as bad as this one I'll be done with Rosatis.
Tried them again 2 months later and the pizza was just as bad or worse than the previous one. Something has really changed with their Pizza's. The crust is different and they've added some type of spice to the crust or sauce that has ruined the taste.
The service hasn't improved either. When I went in to pick up my order, the girl asked my name, rang me up and took my money. She walked back into the kitchen for what I thought was get my pizza. After 15 minutes of her visiting with someone else in the back, a guy asked me if I had been helped and I said yes. He asked me for my name, which I told him and he then went to the food warmer cabinet, pulled out my pizza and handed it to me. He tried to charge me again for it so I told him I had already paid for it. He asked to see my receipt and I informed him the girl didn't give me a copy, even though I had asked for one. I asked him what the other girl had been doing for the last 15 minutes and he just ignored me. It didn't take me long to figure out that my pizza was ready for me before I had gotten there but the girl hadn't checked the warmer cabinet. Naturally, it was only luke warm when I got it home. This will be my last pizza...
Read moreFirst of all I want to say “Thank You!” to everyone whose worked at the Rosati’s on 18555 N. 59th Ave in Glendale. AZ in the last two years. The customer service has been fantastic regarding phone orders, food preparation and delivery. Everyone has done a most excellent job which has earned my loyalty over the past two years. They’ve NEVER let me down.
I know that working in the food business is never easy, especially now, during a pandemic.
Everyone who submits a positive review should get into the habit of saying “Thank You” in their written reviews. It’s important to remember that behind every product is a person.
Like most people from Chicago, I consider myself a pizza connoisseur. THAT means I don’t just order pizza from anyone. I do have standards and they’re not easy to meet. I can’t speak for all Rosati’s in the Valley, but the crew at the 18555 N. 59th Ave Glendale AZ location are the example every pizza place should follow.
They’re ALWAYS professional, friendly and timely. The pizza business is a tough business, and quite frankly, I don’t know how they do THIS right every time all of the time, but that’s EXACTLY what they do.
I mostly order the thin crust pizza because that’s my preference. And I’ll tell you why that’s is. Most people who grew up eating pizza in Chicago, grew up eating mostly thin crust. The deep dish is awesome, but it was not a constant in the average home. Largely because not everyone made it , especially in the ‘70’s, 80’s the early 90’s, and it was also kinda expensive.
This Rosati’s has an authentic flavor in their thin crust pizza that takes me back home. All the ingredients used are excellent and the crust has a nice crunch to it. It’s never “doughy” in the middle of the pizza and the crust is never over or under-baked.
Therefore, I personally recommend their sausage thin crust pizza. My girlfriend loves their pepperoni and she’s quite a pepperoni connoisseur herself, so that’s really saying something. Their deep dish is most excellent as well, and made in the authentic style that defines Chicago in my opinion. Again, the crust is baked to perfection and the ingredients blend together perfectly. The appetizers are all very good as well.
I’ve never had a disappointing experience with this place. In closing, I recommend this Rosati’s as a great option if you want...
Read moreThe pizza was delicious, the service was not. We decided to try it out because of the $3.50 promotion you guys posted all over Facebook. I ordered a pizza, my neighbor ordered one and so did his father. We carpooled because we live rather far. 2 of us went in to get the pizza and were met with attitude immediately. We were not greeted, just stared at. When we said what we were there for, again attitude. Followed by a laugh, and an eye roll. The white haired woman (I didn’t catch her name because I was so weirded out by the attitude) grabbed our pizzas for us and said “there ya go”… I also ordered chicken strips, so I asked where they were. She went back to the warmer and grabbed them for me. I had also told a friend about this deal, and she ordered in the morning for the evening pick-up as well. When I was done eating, I got a text from her that said “were they rude when you picked up your order too?”. I couldn’t believe it. Apparently the white haired woman said “I guess I’m just GIVING these pizzas away for free” to her husband when he picked theirs up. It’s your companies advertised special! So to give customers attitude for taking advantage of a cheap meal in a crappy economy is INSANE. Don’t run the special if you’re going to treat customers like trash. Although I really enjoyed the pizza, I will not be back to this location because of the woman that works there. EDIT I changed my rating to a one star due to the manager never responding for the bad experience. I notice that’s a trend for this location though. They only respond to the...
