Finally HIGH quality Korean BBQ on the west side!!! AND there’s barely a wait (for now!). If you love true authentic & delicious Korean food YOU need to eat at Sizzle! This IS a legit Korean food restaurant making delicious food like LA’s KTown restaurants here locally! And on the west side! Aaaaand they have delicious Korean bingsu for dessert! Lastly, with Korean food there’s like a hierarchy when it comes to BBQ —all you can eat restaurants are generally known as being good enough & it is exactly that good enough But a restaurant like Sizzle that’s slightly more expensive and where you order via a package is levels above the all you can eat. So know that when you go there—you pay slightly more than all you can eat but you get more like higher quality meats & service. And that makes it worth it! I wish they had more signage (they only have 1 sign that faces the parking lot. & their entrance door is on the wall next to that side—confusing!) outside bc it can be hard to find the entrance. They do NOT have an entrance from inside the mall. They have their own outdoor entrance that’s is right adjacent to the mall (they are connected to the mall—but without a direct entrance into the mall) They’re located on the SOUTH side of the mall—where Kay jewelers is or pretty close to the food court—I took pics of the entrance and marked their doors Happy eating! Everyone go to this restaurant bc the food is delicious and I want them to be successful

This restaurant is what you get when you don't have enough money to open a Benihana. If paying way more for something very generic is your thing, then please go here. This is not an all you can eat KBBQ like Manna or Gen Korean. Each meat option will be a minimum of $50+ and its supposed to feed 2 people. It's about 1 lbs of high quality, well-marbled beef. They have pork options as well, but I ordered the bulgogi. The restaurant is just one large, open-floor plan room, with a open view to the kitchen. It was pretty noisy with other patrons, and near constant clattering and clanging coming from the kitchen. Other than that, the staff was kind and attentive. The bulgogi did not taste like it marinated long enough, the marinade acted as more of a glaze while it was being cooked, rather than something that was given time to imbue. We were provided a wider variety of banchan options, but they tasted dantier than most other KBBQ. Personally, when I eat asian cuisine, I expect more intense flavors, like chili paste, garlic, sesame oil, etc. This restaurant is for people that don't know where to go for good, affordable KBBQ, or for people that don't care about their wallet being lighter, and are willing to sacrifice flavor and quantity for quality. Since there are plenty of other KBBQ options, even in the same general area, there is little reason for me to return.

This place is more of an intimate Korean BBQ where the servers cook the food for you and you are allowed to take the leftovers home. Or you also have the option to have the kitchen cook the meals. The prices and portions suggest more of a special occasion setting, but does have a bar and patio seating for groups as well. The quality of meat is what makes this chain different from the other Korean BBQ restaurants. Along with your entree, there is the typical Korean side dishes, rice, and 2 salads (green onion and garden). The beef for two is perfect for variety, portion, and price. The atmosphere feels luxurious and the servers could use a little improvement, but I can understand cooking for multiple tables on a busy night could hinder your customer service. I'm just glad they opened this one, it was closer and bigger than the one at Desert Ridge.

If you hate the sound of metal dish pieces scraping against each other and chewing fatty pieces of meat this restaurant will be a sensory nightmare.

Sizzle is going for an upscale atmosphere, which is a nice addition to the arrowhead area. All plates, cups and utensils are metal, which is an attempt to complete the upscale vibe, but the metal chopsticks were so heavy they just felt impractical to hold. Plus I hated the sound of them touching any other of the metal dishware 😖 and it sent shivers down my spine constantly.

We got the beef combo. Most of the cuts of meat we got were SO fatty I had to spit out the meat in my napkin and it started to pile up on my plate. I don’t know if we were just unlucky with our cuts but it was an abnormal amount of fat that I’ve never experienced at KBBQ before. The server offered to cut off the pieces of fat, which I appreciate, but there was barely any actual meat after the pieces were cut up. After attempting to eat many pieces of meat and them just ending up chewy, I just didn’t even wanna eat anymore. I was still hungry when leaving.

The service is good. Our server was attentive to our needs and checked on us regularly. At this restaurant the server cooks the meat for you so it felt a little awkward with them there cookin the meat at the table. We prefer to cook our own meat at KBBQ, but having the server cook for you would be a nice option for someone new to Korean bbq or if the designated griller wants a break from doing all the work at kbbq.

I was disappointed in the beef combo and don’t believe it was worth the price we paid. The metal scratching drove me insane and I had to fill up on rice and salad to actually eat because the meat was so unenjoyable. Overall a disappointing experience for me personally… if I’m going to kbbq, I’m there to really EAT some MEAT and sadly this just couldn’t be achieved during...

Little back-story before the actual review: Thanks to Uncle Sam, I had the distinct pleasure of living in South Korea for 2 years. While there, I did my best to integrate with and appreciate the culture as much as possible. One of the most memorable ways of doing this was getting a large group of friends on going to get Korean BBQ. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, everything about those nights made some of my most cherished memories in S. Korea.

In my experience, it's been tough to find a place that comes close to mimicking those nights that I loved so much. I can say, after going with my wife last night, Sizzle nailed it. The friendly service, the fun, loud, family-oriented atmosphere and, of course, the food, is the closest I've seen to the real thing in 10 years.

My wife and I ordered the small beef combo, which was more than enough for us. It came with 4 different types of beef, a stew (tasted like miso on steroids), two different salads and all the accouterments you could need. Everything was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, and served quickly and with quality.

As a rebuttal to two of the most negatively reviewed aspects, yes, it is pricey. It's not meant to be a daily, or even weekly trip. You're paying for quality, atmosphere and, most of all, the experience. So, while on the expensive side, I believe the price can be justified. As for the chefs cooking the food for you, read the menu before you go and don't act surprised; the menu literally tells you they do. Also, you are able to request to do it yourself.

Bottom line: We loved it. We will be back, but it will be as a celebratory treat or for a special occasion. Would recommend a group of 4 as it's more cost-effective to do it this way. Thanks for the...

I have been to Sizzle twice now and each time we had a great experience. We visited during lunch hours and the restaurant was very quiet. There were only two other tables when we arrived. It was very pleasant to not be overwhelmed with an overcrowded and loud space.

We ordered the beef combo with beef brisket, ribeye, marinated short rib, outside skirt, and soy bean stew. The server grills the meat at your table for you and you just grab pieces from the BBQ. The meat was all DELICIOUS and expertly cooked by our server. The banchan was okay. I am spoiled and my grandmother makes me fresh banchan so in comparison to her homemade items, the restaurant offerings were fair. We got cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, bean sprouts, fish cake, jalapeños, and maybe something else I may have forgotten. The dipping sauces and salt were very good and we also enjoyed the steamed egg, small garden salad, and scallion salad that was offered with the combo. The soybean stew was wonderful. Tasty and comforting with mushrooms, zucchini, onion, and beef.

The meats were definitely the star of the show with the outside skirt being the best, marinated short rib next, followed by the ribeye and the brisket last. It was all really good and we were able to bring plenty home for leftovers.

The quality of the meats and cooked dishes is top notch and all for a very good price.

The restaurant is very clean with modern decor and the service is great! This is a great place to celebrate special occasions or just to enjoy a nice lunch with your...
