Thai Rama — Restaurant in Glendale

Thai Rama is definitely the best Thai restaurant in Glendale!  I love Thai food and I am accustomed to going to Thai Town in Hollywood for the authentic places, but since the pandemic, we are forced to order take-out.  My husband and I tried quite a number of "Take Out" places in our Glendale neighborhood, but found that Thai Rama is most definitely the best!  My favorite dishes are all of their curries; yellow, green, red, and Panang. They're quite flavorful and totally compliment eating with any of their rice dishes like the pineapple fried rice or combination fried rice.  Their Pad See Ew is off the hook.  I normally order it with beef.  My husband loves the Pad Thai noodles with chicken. I prefer their Chicken Chow Mein!  I read another review from a guy who travels really far for their Crab Meat Fried Rice!  Now that will be the next thing I try on the menu!  The people who work there provide excellent customer service and our food is generally ready...

I don't know what happened to this place if they got a new cook or what. But we ordered food from here 2 weeks ago and dam worst decision. They made the pad thai with vermicelli noodles. I have never in my life have had pad that with vermicelli. It didn't taste good at all. The flavoring was off.. The chicken stay didn't have the usual stay flavoring. It literally tasted grilled chicken with no flavor at all. Usually chicken stay has an obvious yellow tint to it, this did not. Such a huge disappointment. Thai Rama is close to our house. It is our back up Thai restaurant when we don't want to deal with downtown glendale. After this experience It will no longer be our backup. Delicious food. They have a safe setup for takeout and service is fast and efficient. I have ordered here a few times now and the food here does not let me down! Ordered the tofu pad thai and tom kha soup with shrimp. I eat a mostly plant-based diet and my partner eats everything and this place has a great blend of both kinds of dishes. The vegetarian dishes are as delicious as the meat dishes!
