Think twice b4 going after 11 pm...

Our group was +10 and wanted to keep hanging out after we had dinner locally. We showed as the live band had ended. And it got very thin, very fast. It didn't matter, our group had good energy...but then...

Strike 1: the 1st drink I requested, the bartender said "we don't make that". 2nd drink was vodka cranberry and the bartender said they were out of cranberry. Really? ⁷3rd drink a Long Island ..and the guy needed to consult his phone for the recipe and the other mixed drinks I requested. Needless to say it took a long time to get basic cocktails. Meanwhile some random was practicing basic magic tricks to the person behind me. Ok, i thought to myself, it's that kind of party.

A few in our group felt the music was too loud to have a conversation... and then someone noticed there was a jukebox. The girls wanted to dance and pulled some $1's. As they were about to go over the options, the smaller obscure bartender asked, "what do want to hear" and when the group responded he said,"no, that will kill the vibe"., and remotely disabled the jukebox. R u kidding me? The place had 2 regulars, and a couple guys trying to play pool...none of whome where big advocates for the music.

We left immediately and took our business elsewhere. I guess the bartenders preferred having an empty bar than happy...

Honestly, this is one of the best bars I’ve ever attended. When I first moved into the area, I was looking for a new place to unwind, which in LA with its myriad bars can be hard to find. When I first walked in, I was greeted with the friendliest service and a ‘we don’t know strangers here’ attitude, and the ambience was laid back and chill. Adam, the owner, is one of the best guys I know and also slings some of the best cocktails you can get.

Now that ambience has been established, let’s talk about the drinks. Every single bartender here makes a great craft cocktail, and they are constantly innovating and coming up with new drinks. In terms of beer, they stock tons of local beers paired with others that you must try. There aren’t any generic beers here, and they are all hand selected by people who know what they’re tasting for our enjoyment.

100/10 recommend Gold Rail for unwinding, having birthdays, or just having a casual game of pool on Pool Mondays where you can play for free.

If you’re looking for a place with fantastic drinks and even better service, Gold Rail Bar is a must-visit. Went in on Karaoke Night and from the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff, Juan and Rene, who made sure everyone’s experience was fulfilling and enjoyable. The bartenders are not only skilled, but also incredibly attentive, making great recommendations based on taste preferences.

The atmosphere is vibrant yet cozy, and the cocktails are expertly crafted! The attention to detail in the drinks is remarkable, and they’re always ready with a smile.

What truly sets this bar apart, though, is the customer service. The staff, Juan and Rene, go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and valued. Whether it’s remembering your favorite drink or engaging in friendly conversation, you can tell that they genuinely care about their customers.

I highly recommend going in to Gold Rail any night...
