I’ve lived next to Little Goat in Glendale ever since it opened, and I’ve always considered it one of my favorite Neapolitan-style pizza spots in L.A. But here’s the twist: I didn’t fully get how special it was until I spent weeks eating my way through Italy, including the pizza mecca of Naples. After that journey, I came back with a deeper appreciation…and honestly, a bit of skepticism. But one bite into Little Goat’s pizza again and I was floored. It’s on par with the best pies I had in Naples. The dough, the balance of flavors, the restraint where it counts…they know exactly how to keep it simple and let the ingredients shine. This isn’t some knockoff; it’s the real deal. I’ve tried just about everything on their menu since their opening…from the rotating seasonal specials to the salads and desserts…and it’s all consistently top-tier. Nothing feels like filler. You can tell there’s real care behind every dish. Now for the downside…because yes, there is one…and you’ll see it echoed in many reviews: the price. After weeks in Italy where a Margherita pizza runs you about 6–7 euros (less than half the cost here), it’s a bit of a gut-punch. I get it…L.A. overhead, sourcing, staff, quality ingredients…but it’s the one thing that stings. Also, a small personal nitpick: the olive oil they gave me for crust-dipping didn’t quite deliver. It tasted more like a general-purpose cooking oil than a peppery, grassy finishing oil you’d expect with Neapolitan crust. Nothing deal-breaking, just an area for potential upgrade. All that said…this place needs to be on your pizza radar if you love true Neapolitan pies. I’ve tried nearly all the big names around L.A., and Little Goat absolutely holds its own. Can’t believe I’m lucky enough to live this close. It took a trip across the world to fully appreciate what I had right in my backyard. And honestly? L.A. cuisine is second to none. We’re spoiled…and Little Goat is proof.

Outstanding Pizza I have been traveling more recently and trying the best pizza restaurants across the USA and even in Italy. And this is definitely one of the best places I tried. Everything is quality about this place. Even the espresso was excellent. I had the Margarita with Burrata Pizza, the crust was on the saltier side but, this paired perfectly with the fresh made sauce and the creamy burrata cheese. The result was a satisfying pizza with bright flavors. This is wood fired pizza in the traditional Neapolitan style. It’s a thinner crust but not as thin as you would get with a Romana style pizza. At several of even the best Neapolitan style pizzerias the crust can be very slightly undercooked at the very center. That was not the case here. The crust was perfectly cooked all the way across the pizza, and had that delicious wood fired aroma.

If you’re looking for a higher end pizza experience for a special occasion, date night, or just fancy eats, try Little Goat Pizza House. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and finally gave it a whirl. I got the Mushroom with Truffle Oil pizza and added Italian sausage. It took about 10 minutes to make and the staff were super friendly. The decor is themed well and inviting, with plenty of places to sit inside. My pizza was good, it didn’t exceed my expectations, but the ingredients tasted quality and the crust was perfectly chewy for this kind of stone oven fired pizza. My only gripe is the price. They do have some budget friendly options like the Margherita pizza, but most of the other pies are a bit pricey. You do get the quality you pay for though, and this place will still work as a once-in-a-while special occasion place for me.

I've been on the hunt for good Neapolitan 'za since arriving in LA and being spoiled by A16 in San Francisco. I think I may have finally found a Neapolitan worth buying! They have a great variety of pizzas that all sound delicious, a couple of salads, and not much else - but honestly the pizza was so good, the only thing I'd like to see on the menu is one or two more seasonal salad options.

I tried their Margherita and Nduja pies. Both were delicious. My only food complaint is that the margherita was perhaps slightly overbaked on my order (and really only noticable because the Nduja came out perfect). On this first trial, I had take out but did note:

Where this spot doesn't compare is atmosphere. The interior felt a little sterile. Could definitely do with some more interior softening to make it a vibey place to sit and enjoy.

On my visit, it looked like they had posted an application for beer and wine service. If they can pick up a nice italian wine program to accompany their pizzas, this will be off the charts.

Overall, 5/5 for me. If I had my choice, I'd prefer if the physical location was a little more inviting for date nights - but even if that never comes to pass, it is now going to be my go-to...

Updated Review: after almost a year. OK I am not sure is this is common case. But as I have seen many times at other locations that opened with great food and then lowered the quality ton make more money. This place lowered the quality. I was there a day ago and here are my thoughts. The beat pizza in LA turned into a mediocre pizza place. The service is still great but the quality that I used to be excited about is gone. Pizza is now smaller size, dry, almost no chess on it, ingredients are half what they used to put. Id did not taste the same as used to. I am very disappointed. I was craving for it almost any day. But now I am actually not even willing to go back. I hope the owners can hear the customers out and bring it quality they started with back. I am willing to pay extra but enjoy real Neapolitan style pizza.

Original Review:

Amazing Pizza. Incredible customer service. Honestly so far the beat pizza I have had in LA. And I would even compare this with famous Napoli Pizza. I recently was there and I can tell you this is definitely comparable! The doh, the ingredients! Bottom line is you should put this on you togo...
