Placed an online order. Went in and got it at the pick up time there's no one to greet you. I found a waiter to ask him where to find my food. There was no hello just a what's up. When I said excuse me, he pointed it out, and that was it, I live across the street and by the time I got home there was no heat to my food. Fries are cold, lettuce is wilted, tomato is disgusting and soggy, and I'm thinking this was one of the worst decisions I have made in a while. Worst part is that I was actually hungry and just wanted something new. Take out turkey burger is a fail not because it had to be but because they didn't use realistic pick up times for the amount of business that they had going on and because of the lack of quality, in the condiments added the burger, soggy bread, and the cold fries.... and after further examination, I'm pretty sure this is a patty frozen that arrives to the store as a patty and was never fresh ground turkey at JJ's clubhouse which is just lazy. Will not go back ever.
Update: called back that same evening for a refund. Spoke to amber and she was going to call me back after looking into this. I advised she check this review for pics and I guess that upset her because she asked if I actually left a review and I stated yes, how else will people know of the service I received. I still haven't heard back from amber the manager or seen the refund for this horrible food. Guess they need it more...
Read moreSearching to find a bar/restaurant on a Wednesday night to eat a late dinner & have a drink with a good friend, I called JJ's Clubhouse. They immediately answered my call, (NO recorded msg, or even more exasperating, an endless ringing phone that just wastes your time), telling me the kitchen was open until 10 pm, bar until 1am. Arriving at 9:50, we were seated quickly & served immediately by the manager who was an absolute delight, NOT rushed & NOT told we couldn't order certain items from the menu, (which by the way had a very adequate selection of items to choose from), so close to the kitchen closing time. We were served promptly & it was delicious! I wanted to take home one of my chicken tacos & the manager even asked if I wanted an add'l sour cream to go! While bars & restaurants are still struggling to staff employees & closing earlier as well, there seemed to be ample personnel to serve us with exceptional service. I would recommend JJ's, (off Louisiana & 394 in Golden Valley, with an ample area for parking behind the bldg), to anyone, who like myself, have found a less than adequate sampling of establishments offering the public the same amenities we'd grown accustomed to before the onset of the pandemic. Bravo! Good job & keep up the wonderful service! I am planning to become a regular customer at...
Read moreWe come here almost every Tuesday for trivia, and have visited a few other times just for fun. The food is always good, we've enjoyed pretty much everything we've ordered, from burgers to apps to sandwiches to brunch to pizza to weekly specials! Service is friendly and consistent, although sometimes they can get really busy, especially during weeknight happy hour. Drinks aren't super cheap, but they're reasonably priced enough. Free popcorn, sports on TV, what else could you want? It's enough to keep us coming back! Overall we love JJs!
Updates 4/2022 We still love JJs! But please please bring back the Clubhouse sandwich! It's in your business name! Also, we would love if the popcorn machine was on regularly. We understand COVID, but it's almost like you started using it again and have now stopped. It's a nice snack!
Updates 10/2022 I think the popcorn machine has died! And the clubhouse sandwich still isn't a permanent menu item. Other than that, we still come every week for trivia and we love JJs! We celebrated JJs 30th birthday last month!
Updates 5/2023 We have now been here over 100 times for trivia! We ❤️❤️❤️ you! Especially Julie! But I'm still waiting for that Clubhouse Sandwich to come back...
