Racism is still alive and well but I have not experienced it personally in a long time. I was shocked how we were treated at this location. All minorites and any others that do not support this type of behavior steer clear of this location. I would give this Chili's location no stars if I could but I would not be able to write the review. We had a party of 4 and arrived around the time of open. We went into the restaurant and were seated in the bar area. There were only about 5 total parties in the restaurant at this time and the party behind our table was finishing up. We sat at our table for 10-15 mins and the bartender never came to our table to offer drinks or anything. As a matter of fact, the bartender chose to play on her cell phone while we waited for service. A white couple with a baby walk into the restaurant and are also seated in the bar area. They sit down for literally two minutes and the bartender goes over to their table, greets them and begins service for their table. We saw this and decided to take our patronage elsewhere. Clearly our money was not wanted and I am not one to beg anyone to take my money. I would hate to think that this is what Goldsboro, NC Chili's has to offer. We are visiting the area and this was my first experience with a restaurant here. As we were leaving, the hostess tried to apologize but not sure that was sincere as all of the service staff saw us sitting in that booth getting no service. There were not many patrons in the restaurant and all parties except one was seared in the bar area. Not once did someone say that they would go get someone or that someone would be there shortly. Read moreZERO stars! The experience was despicable from the gate! From the lack of a greeting to trying to pay the bill. Only 1 good staff member and it was a server in the section next to us but NOT the manager. Rude, rude, rude! Menus had food betweens the pages, waited too long for our food, salad was served with our cold, mediocre meal. I'd say the cook was the only one trying to do their job. At least he put an effort in but I'd hate to see the filth in the kitchen being that the entire restaurant has basically no management. The Waitress asked if we needed anything 1 time as she literally walked by. She didn't even pause to hear what we had to say. It really was shocking. Zero stars! No one at this location has a clue what they're even supposed to be doing or how to treat customers. That falls entirely on management. Also, the "regional manager" so they said, happened to be there and after 10 minutes of waiting to see the manager because we just wanted to leave and the server couldn't figure out how to split the bill and use a coupon, someone came out. Dressed casually and dishevelled he finally arrived at our table and apologized but I didnt even tell him, he didnt ask or know the half of it. He offered no compensation but disappeared to allegedly get our checks. Again, we just wanted to pay the bill and get out of there. After ANOTHER 5-7 minutes and being ready to blow my stack I threw a $20 bill on the table and left! I've never in my life done or thought to do that. Combined our check was about $22. Btw, I've been in the restaurant business for nearly 20 years. For one, I may be more critical but I also am aware and understand the workings of a restaurant and who's responsibly for what. Read moreWent to dine in last night (5/14/22). We got there and were seated immediately, we could tell our server was new because she asked a lot of questions. I’m a very patient and understanding person because I know how things have shifted post-COVID. I get that it’s hard to find people to work. So we ordered an app, two entrees and a kids meal because my son was with us. Appetizer came out within 10 minutes of us placing the order. Then we sat for a while watching all of the surrounding tables being taken orders for and receiving the food they ordered while we had already placed ours and were still waiting. About 50 minutes go by, and who seems to be the manager running the restaurant comes to our table to tell us that our order was never put in and they were cooking it now and that it’d take about 5 more minutes. Another 15 minutes go by, they finally bring out my sons mac & cheese, a couple minutes later the manager brings my fiancé the ribs he ordered. I asked where my plate was & with a snarky remark he says there were only two meals on the order. Waited ultimately for over an hour and a half watching people get seated and fed that came in after us and they didn’t even care! I placed my sons order first, then mine, then my fiancé ordered his. I don’t know how they missed a whole entree in between the order. This business is so poorly run, I wouldn’t recommend anyone go there. The manager didn’t even care to make anything right so we left and didn’t bother touching the food they brought out. My son was distraught that we left the restaurant with his drink and food still on the table. Horrrible service. I would give 0 stars...
