Service was sub par. Waited in line behind 2 vehicles the first of which moved relatively quickly (not knowing how long they had been there). The second shook his head as he checked his order he stayed there a long while afterwards. Then my turn. The gentlemen was struggling finding me in the system. With a ladies help they located it. I had handed my card over to pay. A lady handed me what looked like a receipt. The gentlemen first said 34 dollars. We knew it was 31 something and the one they handed me said 31 something. I waited. Then the lady said is that the right order. I stated yes. They went away. Finally she came back. After two others asked if I had been helped. There was what appeared to be an army back there. She brought me two boxes and a bag with my meat sauce. I opened the first box cheese pizza [we ordered the NY cheesy bread or now called garlic bread]. I said this one is not right. As they took that one back I opened the second one. A pizzert [desert pizza]. Also incorrect. We ordered a meaty max. They take them both back. By this point we are 40min post order. They told use 25 to 30min. The first gentlemen asked me pull to the front and park. By this point I am a bit annoyed by the time of service. I decided the wait. A lady [now known as the franchise owner] she was a bit annoyed with my decision to stay at the window until I got my food. At one point tapping on my truck window with her fingernails. She was not one I would call the face of customer service finest. Minutes later I see her going to vehicles behind me telling them who knows what. Finally the food arrives correct this time. It not with the service that you would anticipate would be protocol of the Pizza Inn franchise. I understand she may have inherited the franchise 52 years ago [her father did]. When asked who I could go to she said she didn't report to anybody. She did try to make it right after she was able to calm down. I wasn't there to get free food. I declined. I was thinking on my drive home as I call back and ask to speak with her. I tell her I was thinking about what you said when you owned the resturant and didn't report to anybody or have a boss this is Pizza Inn and there is some Corporate interest in the products and service you deliver. And I can't imagine they would want that to be subpar,...
Read moreUPDATE: Obviously they did not read my review and only went by the star rating . I was not happy with the pizza nor was I happy with their cleanliness .
I am only giving 4 stars because of the very attentive wait staff. Dining room was clean and there were only booths for seating as no one was being seated in the table with chairs possibly because of covid. Customers not spaced out much but they have a plexiglass divider on the back of the seats in the booths. I can't guarantee a lively child couldn't knock it down fairly fast. They ask you to wear a glove or use sanitizer at the buffet but no mask! In fact I was the only diner that wore a mask when not specifically eating. The pizza was not hot and most of the pizza looked very similar, thin and dry. I was asked if I had a preference to request. Almost all pizza was lacking flavor. I thought something was wrong with me but I tasted the marinara sauce and it was nice and flavorful. It just wasn't hot enough to return to my table and start eating it. I did not try the salad bar. When using the restroom my shoes felt sticky on the floor and the trash container was over flowing which I mentioned to staff. I unfortunately had to return again and saw the trash was not over flowing but had just been shoved down farther because when I threw my paper away the receptacle was still full!!! Can't accept that laziness. A couple other women came in and surprised me they did not stop and wash their hands. I don't believe the sanitizer should be a choice at the buffet, and should have required the use of gloves. I do not like giving poor reviews but I will not be back anytime soon. Although they say they follow guidelines I do not think they are safe enough. I will post some pictures. Such a disappointment after reading...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I placed an online order for a personal pizza, a spaghetti, and 2 liter Sierra Mist. Drove just under 15 minutes to get to the restaurant and when we pull up to the window we were told it would be "just about another 10 minutes" as if that was anywhere close to acceptable. The 10 minutes pass and another car pulls up behind us so the guy in the window asks us to pull forward "it'll be right out, he's cutting it now." We pull up and park and sit for another 5 minutes before they finally come out with just the pizza and a 2 liter Mountain Dew (we ordered Sierra Mist but we drink Mountain Dew so whatever, we'll take it.) I ask the guy about the spaghetti and he tells me there was no spaghetti on the order. Sorry, but I didn't pay $15 for a personal pizza and a 2 liter drink. He says he'll check again. Goes back inside for another 2 or 3 minutes playing on the register and walking around talking to his co-workers before finally grabbing a bag that had been sitting on the counter behind him since the minute we pulled up to the window. My girlfriend is now eating her luke warm spaghetti with the drink she didn't order so thanks for that I guess. The food here is trash anyway. Personally, I would take an 88 cent Food Lion frozen pizza over this place. Throw in completely unacceptable service and 1 star starts...
