McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Goodyear

I was so excited when I seen McAlisters as we don't have one here in Vegas. I got turned on to them when I was in Montgomery Alabama for school. And let me tell you this location did not disappoint. Parking was plentiful and clean not trash etc outside. We walked in and the restaurant was impeccable. Not one dirty table or piece of floor. The staff greeted use very warmly and with smiles. They offered assistance making a decision but not pushy. After a few minutes we order. I got a bowl of the kicking crab chowder and king club. The hubs ordered the black Angus king club and country potatoe soup. So we sit down and wait for our order to be ready. I run off to the girls room and there too was spotless , aways a plus in my book. I head back to the hubs and out food is ready. Less than 10 mins from the time we ordered. I was impressed. Again the staff were super friendly and honestly it felt genuine. When we got back to our hotel room it was time to get to eating. The chowder was amazing I highly recommend it. It was just a small bite to it nothing too spicy and loaded with crab. I do believe I have acquired a favorite. And by club was massive and oh so delicious. My hubs really liked his potatoe soup and he ate every last bite of his Angus sandwich. The roast beef was a beautiful mid rare and very flavorful. He said he would diffently order it again. I was fortunate enough to have leftovers so I know what I am having.g for breakfast tomorrow. I can't wait to go back to AZ in a few days as I am headed back to this location straight away to pig out again. I ordered The Italian , and it was fantastic. The sandwich was loaded with Black Forest ham, salami, and provolone, all brought together by the tangy Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinaigrette and a kick of spicy brown mustard. The house roasted multicolored peppers, spring mix, tomato, red onion, and black olives added a fresh, flavorful crunch. All of this was served on a soft baguette that held everything together perfectly. It even came with a pickle spear and a side. I opted for the cucumber tomato salad, which was light, refreshing, and a nice complement to the richness of the sandwich. I paired it with their tea to complete the meal.

The staff behind the counter were so friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. They made ordering a breeze and were happy to answer any questions, which made me feel right at home.

The quality of the ingredients, bold flavors, and excellent service made it worthwhile.

McAllisters Deli recently opened at the beginning of 2024. It has a bright and open atmosphere. I was motivated to try them out because I saw online that they make Cuban Sandwiches which are difficult to find.

Tangy pulled pork, ham, and Swiss with mustard and pickles served on toasted baguette. Includes a side and pickle spear. DELICIOUS!

They also have Corned Beef. Most Delis in the West have Pastrami but not Corned Beef.

Both sandwiches come as a 6 or 12 inch sandwich. I was told that the Cuban would not be on the menu permanently so I made a point to ask the manager to have it permanently and I would be there on a regular basis to buy the Cubans. I told the manager it was the primary reason I have been waiting for this deli to open. I do not know another place anywhere that makes a Cuban. It was awesome. I have bought several Cubans in the past two weeks.
