Nothing Bundt Cakes — Restaurant in Goodyear

unfortunately my experience at this location over the phone was awful. I had called over the phone to see if they did any cakes for dogs. The lady who I spoke with said no but that she recommended the carrot cake because it had safe ingredient's for dogs and that she personally gives this to her dogs. So I said okay i’ll get one and I also ordered something for husband and I too. I gave them another call this afternoon because on the back of my head I wanted to know the ingredients just in case. I called back and was told I couldn’t know the ingredients because company policy which was fine so I simply asked for a refund because I didn’t feel safe giving it to my dog. The girl I spoke to took 10 mins of her explaining why I shouldn’t give it to my dog because it has a lot of sugar. Which is why again all i asked is for is a refund. Then she said hold on let me get my manager. When the “manager”came to the phone (honestly I didn’t know who I spoke with because she didn’t introduce her self) she picked up the phone saying “are you the one wanting to give your dog the carrot cake” and all I said was not anymore all I want is a refund. She literally made be feel bad for even trying to give my dog this cake even tho it was recommended by the staff. I repeatedly asked for a refund during that conversation and her managing to dodge the question the whole time. After telling her I haven’t even picked up the cakes, I don’t want my order anymore, she finally got my name and phone number and said yes to the refund and that I should except in 3-5 business days.

Me being a receptionist and dealing with clients everyday, I’ve never spoken to any customer like that and made them feel stupid. She made the whole experience uncomfortable and personally I’d do anything to avoid that location again. It’s sad that there cakes are actually really good but having terrible employees working there makes that company look bad, so I’m definitely not ordering...

When I arrived at the store the blinds were down and a note was on the door. Google hours said the location was open. After reading the sign on the door it didn’t say they were closed it basically made no reference as to why they were closed while business hours on google stated they were open hence the reason for me going up there in the first place. I pulled on the door handle thinking they must be open but the door was locked. As I began to walk away a woman came to the door. She didn’t allow me to enter she just poked her head out the door and asked if she could help me. I told her it was my birthday and I wanted to buy a cake. She said her name was Mel I think and she said she was the manager and to come back tomorrow and she pops her head back into the store and says once she looked back at me that they were breaking down. She then asked me if I could come back tomorrow and she would be able to sell me the cake. I was disappointed but I returned the next day she didn’t remember but I selected the red velvet cake. I love red velvet cake it’s my favorite but this cake did not taste like red velvet cake. I make a red velvet cake myself and the purpose of the ingredients is to make the cake with a bright aroma of chocolate but not the deep bitter flavor of it. The cake had dark chocolate chips baked within it, it made the cake taste like chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting which is a recipe for diarrhea…lol next time try white chocolate chip it will maintain the bright flavors a red velvet cake should have. Also keep in mind Cocoa powder is already used in the recipe, so adding extra chocolate changes the flavor. If you must have chocolate chips in the red velvet cake, try white chocolate. That’s my...

I have been purchasing from Nothing Bundt Cakes for many years either personal or shopping for business. I had a bad experience a couple of years ago in April. I went to this location to buy a cake for an April 3 birthday. I was turned away because it was too close to Easter. It’s been three years since I’ve gone back for a special occasion and today I thought I would give Goodyear location another chance. Twas the day December 12 I went to purchase Specific flavors and I was turned away because during the holidays you can’t ask for specific flavors, you have to buy what is their top assortment. I was there at 10:20 in the morning. There was no one in the store. Unfortunately, my experience is this was bad customer service. Their website does not indicate what I just said above so if you have a birthday in December, don’t think you can go to Nothing Bundt Cakes and get what you like for your friends coworker, family member, etc. there are other bakeries and...
