I haven't been to Wendy's in several years due to bad food and service. Nothing has changed. I decided to visit the Wendy's on the I-10 and Litchfield Rd to grab a salad because I have heard and read numerous positive reviews. I ordered the taco salad through the drive through. The cashier was polite and efficient, but I felt rushed when placing my order and also when I was at the window. I was on my lunch break and was going to eat my salad in my car or outside my office on a bench. However, I was not able to do so. Why? Well, it seems as though the person who designed the packaging for the taco salad did not put any forethought into the fact that some people are not at home or sitting at a table to enjoy their meal. The "salad" came in a VERY small bowl, which they filled to the brim with lettuce, a sprinkle of cheese and a few questionable pieces of tomato. The chili was in a separate container, as well as the chips in a little bag and a very small individual portion of sour cream and salsa. The bowl is so small and packed with lettuce, there is absolutely no way I could add chips, chili, salsa and sour cream without making an absolute mess! If I wanted to prepare my own salad, I would have gone to a buffet. Needless to say, I didn't get to eat lunch yesterday and left my salad in the fridge. So, today, using a container that I brought from home that was large enough to add all of my ingredients to, I was able to make my salad. Unfortunately, it was disgusting!!! When I poured the lettuce/cheese/tomato mixture into my bowl, I discovered they had put 'fresh' lettuce on the top, but the lettuce underneath was brown, wilted and inedible. After picking out the few 'fresh' pieces and discarding the rest, I heated the chili and mixed all of my ingredients. The chips tasted stale although they didn't expire until late February. The salsa was gross. I took two bites, gagged and threw my salad in the trash. Sorry Wendy's. I gave you another opportunity to gain my business but you failed again. I won't be back. It seems as though many fast food chains have lost sight of what is truly important.....CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. It appears as thought the only focus these days is on speed of service. I would rather wait a few minutes for excellent customer service and HOT FOOD that I do not have to prepare myself.
Culver's has the BEST food and service around, so that's where I will go. They ask me to pull forward every time, but I have NEVER received poor service or cold food and they ensure their packaging is sufficient for...
Read moreI really enjoy the food from Wendy's especially the fries. I drove through the drive thru today during lunch around noon, the lady who took my order was awesome very sweet and fast. The lady at the window who was cashing out was the complete opposite. I pull up and she hands me all my food and drinks before taking my money, I understand drinks as that's standard. I give her my card and for some reason it was declined I was like ok that's wierd so I give her the food back and reach for my card and she gives me THE RUDEST look and pulls her hand back and says THE DRINKS??? I said I promise you I wasn't going to steal your 2 lg drinks and frosty geez. She went out of her way to make it as uncomfortable as possible that my card declined like I was trying to rob them for my $13.00 order. I've never been so offended. I've never had an issue with this Wendy's untill today, they need to put someone with a little compassion for other people interacting with THEIR guests. I could of went somewhere else (Chick-fil-A for example) and they would of taken care of my order for me with a smile. Not what I was expecting but at least some respect that I WANTED to spend...
