First, let me tell you the good. The crab rangoon are huge and handmade and DELICIOUS! My only complaint is that there's not much "crab." Now for the not-so-good. Prices are way too high for the portion sizes or the quality. No lunch specials, it's the same price all day. Combo meals do not include soup, according to the cashier, so it's a scoop of rice, a half plate of the entree, and a spring roll. My husband ordered the regular meal and the entree covered the plate and he got quite a bit more rice in a separate bowl. Plates and utensils are plastic one-time-use, which also does not follow with the prices being so high. Flavors are bland. I ordered Kung Pao chicken and there was no spice to it at all. I requested some pepper oil to kick it up, which didn't really help. My husband had the teriyaki chicken and my daughter had the orange chicken. The breading on the orange chicken was good amount and texture, but almost tasteless. I suggest you go get a couple orders of crab rangoon and nothing else. There's better quality Asian food in the area, for the same or...

I don't know how this place rates 4 out of 5 stars. I'm always suspicious of online reviews, thinking that many of them are written by friends, family, employees, owners, etc., looking to bolster the ratings.

My order was for take-out. They said 10 to 15 minutes. I got there in 25. Except for one couple sitting outside, the place was dead empty at 7:30 in the evening. There were three cooks. My order wasn't ready, although it did come out fairly quickly.

The egg foo young was eggs with onions DROWNED in sauce. Presentation is fairly important, and this was the ugliest egg foo young I've ever seen. As for the crispy noodles with chicken, I couldn't separate the noodles into portions. It doesn't matter anyway because it was so salty that I ended up throwing it away. The fried rice was okay, but I can make it better.

In other reviews, I've seen people say that the prices are SOOOO good. They're average at best. AJK in Avondale has as good if not better prices. I go there often, but thought I'd try this place for a change. I won't...

To start we ordered drinks; they were out of boba, and thai flavor did not taste like Thai, way too sugary and powdery taste.

Next we ordered combos that came with a soups, we had the egg drop soup. 2 of the soups tasted like dish water and the 3rd had no flavor at all.

Last we got out food. The moo goo gai ban had grey chicken, too much sesami oil that the smoke flavor was over powering and they didnt use shitaki mushrooms I was use to so i was disappointed,

the chow mein, the fried rice, eggroll, and wonton had decent flavor but the normal seasoning or preparation i am use to but tasted ok only side note is the fried rice had no egg or veggies in it just rice.

The terriaky chicken had a strange flavor did not eat more than a few bite without feeling sick

The lemon chicken, at first tasted good, but after a while the lemon became too powerful so wasnt able to finish full serving but was the only meat the table actually finished.

Probably won't be going back we spend 56.00 and barely ate any...

This is easily the saddest excuse for Chinese food I've ever tasted. The chicken taste like sausage, the noodles taste like oil, and the fried rice taste like nothing. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is for the portion size, but honestly, I want my $40 back. $40 for 2 bad tasting plates of poor quality food is insulting. And the cashier that packed the food had the audacity to tell me it's "the best Chinese food in Goodyear". The spring roll was under-cooked, and the fried rice has been baking in a hotel pan since they opened. The crab rangoons are definitely frozen and re-fried, but they were the only thing that was mildly enjoyable about the meal. I honestly cannot believe that a majority of the reviews are positive. Do yourself a favor and save your taste buds (and wallet) from the atrocities committed at Yan's. I wish I read the reviews before spending money at this establishment. Hopefully my review helps you make the right decision today.

BEFORE YOU EAT HERE: Just got take out from here. The girl at the counter was helpful and friendly. The food however was not good. We ordered sesame chicken, combo chow mein, as well as the sweet and sour chicken. The sesame chicken on the outside was mushy and had no flavor. It didn’t even taste like sesame chicken. The sweet and sour chicken was neither sweet nor was it sour... it was tasteless. It, like the sesame chicken, was mushy on the outside and traditionally, the sweet and sour chicken isn’t covered in the sauce so that the batter stays crispy. The only upside to the meal was the chow mein. It wasn’t gross. But it wasn’t good either. Also, $2 more for egg fried rice? If you’re going to charge me an extra $2 you’d better actually put some eggs and some flavor into it, instead of adding a few peas and a dash of soy sauce. Won’t ever be back.

New to the area and this was our first visit. The young lady that took our order was very friendly and helpful answering questions about the menu. The food came out fast and was good. I was with my friend who is from southern China and she enjoyed her dish as well. The atmosphere is comfortable and it was very clean. Including the restrooms. There was a tv on playing sports. We will come back and support this local family owned business for sure.
