First, let me tell you the good. The crab rangoon are huge and handmade and DELICIOUS! My only complaint is that there's not much "crab." Now for the not-so-good. Prices are way too high for the portion sizes or the quality. No lunch specials, it's the same price all day. Combo meals do not include soup, according to the cashier, so it's a scoop of rice, a half plate of the entree, and a spring roll. My husband ordered the regular meal and the entree covered the plate and he got quite a bit more rice in a separate bowl. Plates and utensils are plastic one-time-use, which also does not follow with the prices being so high. Flavors are bland. I ordered Kung Pao chicken and there was no spice to it at all. I requested some pepper oil to kick it up, which didn't really help. My husband had the teriyaki chicken and my daughter had the orange chicken. The breading on the orange chicken was good amount and texture, but almost tasteless. I suggest you go get a couple orders of crab rangoon and nothing else. There's better quality Asian food in the area, for the same or...
Read moreI don't know how this place rates 4 out of 5 stars. I'm always suspicious of online reviews, thinking that many of them are written by friends, family, employees, owners, etc., looking to bolster the ratings.
My order was for take-out. They said 10 to 15 minutes. I got there in 25. Except for one couple sitting outside, the place was dead empty at 7:30 in the evening. There were three cooks. My order wasn't ready, although it did come out fairly quickly.
The egg foo young was eggs with onions DROWNED in sauce. Presentation is fairly important, and this was the ugliest egg foo young I've ever seen. As for the crispy noodles with chicken, I couldn't separate the noodles into portions. It doesn't matter anyway because it was so salty that I ended up throwing it away. The fried rice was okay, but I can make it better.
In other reviews, I've seen people say that the prices are SOOOO good. They're average at best. AJK in Avondale has as good if not better prices. I go there often, but thought I'd try this place for a change. I won't...
Read moreTo start we ordered drinks; they were out of boba, and thai flavor did not taste like Thai, way too sugary and powdery taste.
Next we ordered combos that came with a soups, we had the egg drop soup. 2 of the soups tasted like dish water and the 3rd had no flavor at all.
Last we got out food. The moo goo gai ban had grey chicken, too much sesami oil that the smoke flavor was over powering and they didnt use shitaki mushrooms I was use to so i was disappointed,
the chow mein, the fried rice, eggroll, and wonton had decent flavor but the normal seasoning or preparation i am use to but tasted ok only side note is the fried rice had no egg or veggies in it just rice.
The terriaky chicken had a strange flavor did not eat more than a few bite without feeling sick
The lemon chicken, at first tasted good, but after a while the lemon became too powerful so wasnt able to finish full serving but was the only meat the table actually finished.
Probably won't be going back we spend 56.00 and barely ate any...
