Ordered in drive through and was excited to try the new sweet and spicy burger. Step mom used to work there forever and I guess that built up a trust with quality of service to expect. But I guess it's day and night with staff up there. Ordered no cheese on the sandwich only because I don't like cheese. Got my food promptly was excited and finished my drive home but 10 miles from the store. Get home open bag and see the burger wrapped in yellow then again in white. So I check and it's got cheese. Drove up to the store mad. Simply cause I'm a big man and now I'm really hungry and spending more gas and time to get this burger remade. Girl at counter was sweet and had the kid in the back remake it and said sorry I smiled and figured no way this could be wrong now. Stupid me should have checked. But I didnt. Get home and the kid in the bag just stuck his fingers in the burger and scrapped the cheese off. Not even getting it all. Then drowned it in sauce to hide his work. So I said screw it I want my money back final drive up there. The shift manager is there this time. Nice girl. She refunded the burger I admitted I ate the fries and drank the drink and enjoyed both. Now if this was the end that would have been great. But the young kid in the glasses I think kyle or something. I remember he reminded me of Harry potter. Walked up front and said show me the cheese. Which I did and he said it wasn't cheese. I said it is and pointed out my past experience as a chef and said I'm sure I can tell what cheese is. He admits it's cheese then says you wouldn't eat it cause of that little bit? I said no but that's not the point. The point is you just scraped it off and then called me a liar to my face. No alone the fact I could be allergic to cheese. Plus the fact I spent 5 bucks in Gas for my 10 dollar burger and in the end I've got neither. So I leave stop at burger King grab an burger and get a free smurfs toy randomly. I'd say for lunch go for it. But if Harry Potter is the cook then probably would wait. Had the nerve to ask why I didn't check it before I left like everyone else. I said I shouldn't have to and the fact everyone else does just proves to me they've been screwed in the past...
Read moreIf you’re looking for food fast, this hasn’t been the place for the last 4 or 5 years. Expect to wait 25 - 55 minutes in the drive thru or inside. If you’re looking for your food to be hot after taking 25 - 55 minutes to be prepared, it’s still not the place. When they build your burger, if you got cheese on it, the meat isn’t even warm enough to start melting it when they put it on top of the cheese. Then after your burger has been built, it sits on the counter getting cold for at least 10 minutes before they either give you cold fries out of the huge precooked pile, or it’s waiting on fries to cook. You’re either getting an ice cold burger and fries, or an ice cold burger and warm fries, probably won’t be hot. This has been the case the last 5 or 6 times I’ve been there over the last 2 years. The only thing I can say good is they haven’t messed my order up yet like they have for a multitude of other people that have left comments here. That could be because I won’t use their drive thru, I always go inside. Somebody needs to train the managers and the cooking crew on how to cook burgers and fries in a timely manner and get them out to the customer while it’s hot. It’s really ridiculous to run a restaurant this way. I’ve been eating at this store off and on since it was built in the 1980’s and this is the worst it’s ever been. I really think corporate should send some undercover customers in over a couple weeks time just to see the poor service this place dishes out on a daily basis. People in Granbury have taken to calling this place Wait A Burger. The stores in Weatherford and Benbrook are a lot faster and your food is hot...
Read moreI’m so over this whataburger. I took my 3 kiddos there for dinner and our order was 3 CRISPY chicken sandwich meals, 2 PLAIN and a chicken tender box meal. 4 waters. It’s pouring so I don’t check my bag, but had to ask for my 4th water. the guy at the window said have a great day so I grabbed the big bag and drove off in pouring rain. Get home (15 minutes away) unload the car and kids in the rain, get inside to make their plates and when I open the bag I find no chicken tender box, 3 GRILLED chicken sandwiches, the 2 that clearly have a “plain” sticker on them, have that whatasauce on there. So all 3 of my kids didn’t get their food. I’m currently just making chicken nuggets to replace the tender box for one kid and gave her my fries, the other 2 that wanted a plain crispy chicken sandwich so they could add ranch to it, are eating the grilled with that sauce on there and thank goodness they actually said they could eat it.🤦♀️ I could half way understand if they were busy, but it was me and 2 other cars. And I still sat there for 25-30 minutes waiting. It’s becoming a known fact that you don’t go to this whataburger after 2pm or you can guarantee your order to come out wrong, happens EVERYTIME when we come for dinner, but my kids begged for it tonight so I caved. I should’ve listened to my gut. Usually i don’t do reviews I just let it go because I understand people have off days, but this time it was just plain ridiculous. I won’t be going back to this whataburger. Rant over. Have a...
