I drive by a couple times a week and just noticed the part of the sign that said eatery. At a glance I thought it was a health store. I decided to stop and check it out. As I walked up to the counter to read the menu. I avoid restaurant's like this because if you don't know the menu, you're holding up the line and I feel pressured to order. Thankfully it wasn't busy, so I was able to browse the menu. I decided to order three things so I would know if I was going to come back. I got the steak salad, mac & cheese and the broccoli and cheese soup. The steak salad tasted great, but the steak was over cooked. The broccoli cheese soup had great flavor. If I ordered it again I'd get some kind of bread to go with it. The mac & cheese tasted good, but the noodles were mush. So bad that I can't see me ordering that again. The steak salad & soup were good enough to get me to come back. **Update I decided the try Core Life one more time. This time Another steak salad. (somewhat different of a salad then the first one) This time the steak came out fresh and eye could watch them cut it up fresh.(I don't remember seeing that the first time, maybe I just didn't notice) Pink in the middle and I found the salad every enjoyable. I also tried something new, White chicken chill. It was...
Read moreI’m not sure if this is a corporate issue or a franchise issue but whoever made the decision to eliminate the phenomenal gluten free macaroni cheese from the menu shouldn’t be allowed to make decisions anymore. I can’t even put into words what a gut punch it is as someone with severe allergies to have the ONE safe fast food option you look forward to replaced with dry wheat noodles drowned in bread crumbs. People who can eat gluten have an endless array of quick easy options. They can go to about 15 other restaurants in town and get (much better)macaroni and cheese. Celiacs/autoimmune folks had ONE. And the fact that it’s not even GOOD Mac n cheese that’s replacing it?! An insult really… The worst part? It’s on me, but still. I was in a rush and didn’t notice the menu shift until my first severely disappointing bite. So now I have like $15 worth of useless breadcrumbs and a rough week or so in my future. Do better decision making person of...
Read moreFirst of all, the food was good. The prices were reasonable (portion of chicken was not) and you receive a $5 reward upon signing up for the app. However, the service was awful. The employees working seemed like they did not want to be there. The first employee literally rolled her eyes and groaned when I reminded her I had asked for plain romaine on the side as opposed to romaine mixed with cabbage inside of my wrap. The next employee put a ridiculously small amount of chicken on my wrap, probably about 2 ounces of chicken at most. And she kept wiping her nose with the back of her hand. At least it wasn’t the front of her hand, and I watched like a hawk to make sure the back of her glove did not touch my wrap. She also was very unfriendly. Both employees acted like any request was an imposition. The service left a very sour taste in our mouth, although the food itself was good (I had to add extra meat though, it was an unacceptable...
