Topshelf Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Grand Haven

All 1's. This is the 2nd time ordering from this location and both times, they messed up the order somehow. 1st time, they forgot one of the items we ordered for delivery. They corrected it quickly and made up for it. However this time around, we walked in, there was no one in the dining area. We ordered 2 sandwiches and a simple salad to go. It took them 30 minutes to make 2 sandwiches and 30 seconds to make the salad, to which they forgot the dressing, and didn't include any olives or banana peppers (which are a staple in an Anti-Pasta salad). The whole time we were waiting, we could hear the staff goofing off in the back.

Bottom line, never again will we order from here, simply awful.

It is now 8 months after the above review I posted on Google. What amazes me is that I did not hear a peep from anyone regarding my comments or poor rating I left. I'm not looking for anything from anyone, no freebies or hand-outs, only for a business to take responsibility for who works for them and care for the service and products they provide to the public. We're always looking for the perfect pizza and our search brought us to Topshelf. So we ordered our usual deluxe. Now, I get it that pizza lovers have varying tastes so this is only my impression. We were told 20 mins and it was right on 20 mins. Opening the box for the big reveal found an excellent looking pie. Toppings were plentiful and well distributed.. good quality toppings at that. Here's where personal tastes come in. The crust had the appearance of a good ol' homemade crust with what I call a delicious "char" on the edges. My wife's term is "burnt" and wasn't as appealing to her. One thing we did agree on was the sauce. It initially tasted like made from fresh tomatoes.. just with no salt. Actually would have been a huge improvement with a bit of salt, oregano, and pepper. Our dining experience was terrible. Our server was extremely rude and impatient. She told us "There is a problem with the pop machine" and we asked what was wrong, and she rolled her eyes and stated that the CO2 was being changed and while ordering our food she kept interrupting us and saying "is that all". We ordered appetizers and they came out with our food, which is not how we requested our food to come out. One of our appetizers was a 6 piece of boneless wings and when we were served with 4 wings we asked about it. The server said the portion was 6 ounces and pointed to the menu which read "6- pieces", we said something to the manager and he said the menu was printed wrong and did nothing. Our appetizers were served cold and our food was barely warm.
