Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Grand Junction

The CMU location is just bad compared to brick and mortar establishments. The bagels are the only good ones on campus which keeps me coming back, but the service and speed are abysmal. I've been in here and waited 15-20 minutes for simple sandwiches, had my order swapped or messed up several times, and have been grossed out by the lack of cleanliness. I don't know if it's the lack of a proper kitchen or what but they should just close and move to one of the Sodexo spots across the hall, if so.

As soon as you get a month or two into the semester, the coffee dispensers start to look really nasty with film and floating flakes of matter visible in the sight glass. Today when I ordered my jalapeno salsa spread on an everything bagel I got it on a BLUEBERRY MUFFIN BAGEL instead. Who was putting that together? did they even think about it? just gross. I did not have time to try and explain to the workers and wait for another. I was hesitant to go in, and ended up regretting it....

When we entered the lady at the front counter had her stomach hanging as if the shirt provided was too small. The bagels are mostly gone before noon. The coffee condiments and the coffee accessories were unclean, sticky and gross. Chips come with the lunch specials and the only chips you got are salt and vinegar. The ice was all out and when trying to drink the coffee it was way too hot. We normally love coming here to get something nice and that it's quiet, but the food was not the best either. Egg was not cooked right, tomato slices were too large, the bagel wasn't baked long enough, so basically this place has gone downhill a little bit. Prices were too much for the small portions. My pre-exam ritual is coming here and getting a very reasonably priced coffee in my reusable coffee cup that they give me a discount for using. The workers are always EXTREMELY kind and are very helpful to point out deals or specials that are available. Everything is always clean and the service is always very fast. I strongly recommend getting coffee from here rather than the Starbucks that is...
