Captain D's — Restaurant in Grand Prairie

⚠️This location is not preparing their food correctly. Our food was handed to us below room temperature, stiff/hard and limp. So I asked could they remake it fresh to order, I was told by the very nice cashier Yas that the cook refused to fix our food correctly. I was also denied a refund.The pictures are what we DID NOT EAT! So I spent almost $40.00 for hardened, cold, dry fast food garbage and an apology for it being trash. For me that is completely inexcusable. People work too hard for their money for it to be wasted in such a manner. I was told this location was 30 years old. But I can assure you, if this type of service isn’t corrected they won’t withstand another year. This is the first time in history that I wished I went to McDonald’s instead. I hate McDonald’s but at least they’re consistently mediocre. But growing up eating Captain D’s, I just expected way better than this location provided. But I will say the cashier was polite, friendly and seemed remorseful. The cook however, was the issue. As a previous restaurant cook, I know the quality of that plate was poor. I know it was sitting under the light for over 30 minutes. Which is disappointing. That lets me know that cook has no pride in the overall food production and that is disappointing. I won’t be back and because of my experience I would advise anyone else looking for a quick meal to not visit this location . I would hate for you to waste your food as well. Hey, everybody I hope everyone is having a blessed day today. Thank God we made another day right. I was so surprised that I found a Captain D's nearby. We decided that we want to have lunch and it was on a Wednesday afternoon. We was greeted with a very friendly cashier she was so polite and had a very beautiful spirit. Is good to be able to tell our experiences at different places that we go to on a daily basis good or bad. But we can't say this about Captain D's. I haven't been on I've been very busy these days and I wanted just to tell our experience today at Captain D's. I'm very particular on my Foods especially restaurants. I hope someone decided to go by and check them out they will be very satisfied with the service and the food as well. The food is fresh and also the temperature is great. They do not serve nothing that's been sitting up and also they freshly cook it. What you should do if you never been there and you can go please give him a try and you'll find out yourself. You will be satisfied and I am not a dishonest person I always tell the truth because I do not want it to come back on me. But when it come to leaving comments about places that I go and our experiences are truthful. And that's why I want someone to visit Captain D's and they will find out their self. I had been going to the Captain D's on Great SW Parkway for years until about 7 months ago. They changed Ownership & are now a Franchise Store that "Does Not" honor senior citizen days as The Captain D's Website implies. It is about a 7 mile drive, so I tried to call just to be sure they were honoring the Advertised Senior Priced Meals, but found that even after 7 Months, the recording still says their Phone Service is "STILL" not even set up to receive calls. After driving all the way over tonight and having them all but insult me and treat me like a beggar off of the street I finally realized that, they likely don't have the phone set up, since people are on to them and don't want us "Seniors" to stay away, in hopes that we will pay Full Price instead of being honored as elderly people living on Social Security Income and in my case, nothing else at all after 4 yrs of dealing with cancer.
