I went here on 2/27/20 around 3:30pm.. I treated a family member a meal & we ordered chicken tenders they were good, I ordered Cole slaw it was sour.. they ordered mash potatoes w/gravy. The gravy was very watery that when it was opened it spilled all over their clothes..We were in drive thru & had not pulled away from the window yet.
I asked the gentleman by the name of John who was very rude, and nonchalant at the drive thru who later I found out was the manager to give a mashed potato w/no gravy. He took the container back and gave another one & didn’t say sorry or nothing just rudely passed the potatoes out the window and then closed it..
I drove off and started to eat the cole slaw and noticed it was sour, so I went back and explained the situation and asked to speak to a manager because John was very rude & not polite at all about my bad experience.
I explained that his attitude was not pleasant dealing with the public he stated well I’ll have to work on that in a Nasty tone.. I told him that he’s not representing good customer service and that I would be reaching out to someone else who’s over him & he just closed the window & said have a nice day..
After I ask for a diff side which was fried okra.. I attempt to taste the okra before I got too far away and it was very greasy and tasted old, so this time I pulled around and went inside.
As soon as he saw me he said what is it now! I explained the situation and he said so what is it that you want! I said I’ll just take another drink ice tea. He passed the cup to me and said have a nice day in a rude tone!
John never apologized for the bad experience nor the inconvenience of me having to return, or just never polite about handling me as a paying customer.. Read morei’ve been ordering from this golden chick since they opened up a few years back. As of recently (past 1 year) The staff have just been extremely sloppy and disorganized. Today I came in at 3:57 I went through the drive-through and the lady responds and tells me that they are in the middle of a shift change and I was like OK. How long do I need to wait and she responded with I don’t know so I was like do I need to come inside. She was like yes although that was irritating. I come inside And the black manager tells me to wait again. I have also worked in the service industry. I have never seen A shift changed disrupting the flow of taking orders. Finally, a little white boy takes my order. Interestingly, enough, someone else posted the drive-through gets the order taken and gets there food before I did, and I was there first, and after being told that I couldn’t go through the drive-through. I wait for another 10 minutes To get my order by the time I get home and open my food. I noticed there’s no fries and no sauce. That’s half the meal gone already. So I drive back. I make it there by 4:53 and the man with the Viking beard gives me my refund. I will never be coming back here every time. It’s something new and the staff sucks. Read moreThe food is usually good at this location, but I went through the drive thru tonight and ordered the tenders and battered fries. The tenders weren’t as fresh as they normally are and the fries were cold. It was about an hour to closing, but I still expected the food to be fresh.
The drive thru employee was also having issues with the register and it took him about 10 minutes to take my order. I had tried to go inside the store, because I had a somewhat large order, but the doors were locked. I understand that tech issues happen, but when I received my receipt, I noticed that quite a few customizations were wrong. It was close anyways (heavy sauce when I didn’t request it, upsize on fries when not requested and incorrect quantity of extra sauces/dry seasoning packets), so I didn’t say anything.
One other thing I’ve noticed about this location, is that it’s very dark and always appears to be closed at night when driving past on the service road. There are a few parking lot post lights that are off and most of the exterior lights on the building are off, as well. The main sign that contains Golden Chick and other businesses is not lit up at night. This location has had these issues for over a year now and I assumed management would’ve noticed and addressed...
