Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Grand Rapids Charter Township

Food is always delicious, never had a bad sub from here. & staff are all very kind! I was there behind a woman who was very belittling & rude to the employee working the counter (I do believe she was the manager), turns out she is autistic. As a mother to a child with a disability, it breaks my heart to see the reviews here that I think refer to the same person, because it's so hard to exist in the world if you are different in any way. Everyone expects super smiley, overly friendly customer service, but some people are just wired differently, or even if they aren't, maybe they are just having a bad day. It takes zero dollars to be kind & give our other humans the benefit of the doubt. Let's not forget that we are all human, some of us have a disability that makes us see the world differently, & we all have bad days (I'd hate to have to be customer-facing on my bad days!). I apologized to the manager on behalf of that customer's behavior toward her, & with just a little bit of compassion, I discovered that she was extremely kind & generous, & thankful for me taking a moment to try to understand...

6 months ago I swear I was not going back to Jersey Mike's, because of the bad services and food. but last month, I decided I would give it 1 more chance, since we love their food so much. I am so glad I decided to do so. They let go of the management and employees, They have a whole new crew, the store looks amazing, the quality of food is back to where it should be the employees are amazing, they listen and make your food with smiles and love. If you left because of the same reasons, please. Give this restaurant another chance, before I seen lines, now im the only one at 5pm on a Friday thats not good. 4/28/21 Great subs However they require a Mask to be worn so we were asked to leave. Unfortunately the small business which I choose to support will ultimately loose the battle. Big Stores will win and Government if we don't stand up for our people.

Maybe the owner will realize how they direct employees.
