While picking up my food at their neighbor Detroit wing company(a restaurant you don't have to mortgage your house to eat at like 5 guys) I got a great laugh. They are charging $6 to make it a combo with a little fry and 20 oz drink. So basically $19 for a cheese burger combo. Absolutely insane. For the INSANE price they now charge for a burger you would at least expect good service.
Place a Togo order. Arrived a little more than 10 minutes after placing it. And the staff hadn't even started the order. Hadn't even taken the receipt off the printer. Yet when I walked in there was one other person in the restaurant. And all 3 employees were standing around talking with each other. While the one was watching the 2 burgers on the grill. So then I waited another 10 minutes while they slowly made my food. And the food isn't even that good anymore. I think they changed to a cheaper meat. Even my gf doesn't want their food anymore.
Honestly I didn't want to go here but my girlfriend did. Because while I used to love 5 guy's food. Their chain started on the concept of a good and affordable burger. I can get a BETTER burger with fries INCLUDED at almost any restaurant for the cost of a...
Read moreLong time guest of many Five Guys locations in Michigan, and my first visit to this newest one (and closest to me) is the most memorable. As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted with a friendly welcome. The manager, Timo, was incredibly helpful and offered more than I expected. I won’t share my specific order, but Timo went above and beyond with offering suggestions. No question we will be back again for more. Update: still the best FG ever. The other manager, Jessica, came up to us and said hi and recognized us from our 2nd week visit when they opened 3 months ago, even remembering what we had ordered. Hard to believe this type of personal experience in a fast casual...
Read moreThe best place I've been to. Although the one on 28th street has 1 employee that was horrendous she was slamming things around dropping the F bomb at the other employees and treated me like I killed her dog, all cause I said I didn't want cheese and the cashier didn't hear that and i wasn't rude about it. The rest of the crew was always nice but the one out by Rivertown mall and the one on the Beltline. Chefs kiss all the way around from the way they treated the customers and the way they treated each other. I did go back to the one on 28th until I walked in and that lady was there and she was acting like a clown so I went right back...
