TLDR: Surprisingly good food, service, ambience and drinks! (Surprisingly because I’ve visited in the past and was not impressed, but this time fully changed my mind!)

We visited in late September (sorry for the late review- I’m catching up and trying to be more consistent in this review leaving hobby 🤪) and the weather was nice. As you can see in the pics and videos. I’m not sure if there is outdoor seating offered, but we dined inside. The restaurant was beautifully arranged with tasteful decor (I imagine all of them are like this, as they are a chain restaurant.) The bar was decently stocked and everything looked clean. Chill, yet high energy music was pumped through the speakers at a medium low level- indicating a posh atmosphere.

I ordered a POMEGRANATE LEMONADE (Lemonade, pomegranate juice, mint) and he ordered a Diet Coke.

For the starter, we ordered the CRAB WONTONS (Creamy crab filling, bell pepper, green onion, spicy plum sauce) which were SO good! Many crab wontons/Rangoons/what have you are filled mostly with cheese but these contained an ample serving of crab inside, so I was quite pleased. I was also happy that an even number of wontons was served- I hate when they bring 5- then there’s the whole “YOU take it”, “No, YOU! I insist!” thing that goes on and it’s mildly annoying- so hooray for an even number of wontons! 🤣

He ordered a bowl of the WONTON SOUP (Savory broth, pork wontons, shrimp, chicken, mushrooms) which was delicious and served appropriately hot- nice as many places serve the soup luke warm which is lame. We didn’t realize-because we didn’t thoroughly read 🤦🏼‍♀️- that the soup could serve 4 people so we ended up taking a lot of that home, as we had each ordered an additional entree.

He ordered the SWEET & SOUR CHICKEN (Sweet & sour sauce, pineapple, onion, bell pepper) which came with a small bowl of rice. He very much enjoyed it.

I ordered the PAD THAI (A classic approach to rice noodles, wok-tossed with egg, tofu, green onion, peanuts, cilantro, bean sprouts) with added shrimp. It was pretty great and I was sated.

It’s been a few months since we dined here so… looks like it’s time to go back! Will update with anything else we order. I’m looking forward to leaving room for dessert next time, and perhaps a cocktail or...

On Saturday, July 6, 2019, my husband and I ordered takeout from our local P.F. Chang's Grand Rapids, MI restaurant. That night I got a surprise - a clump of 12-15 staples were hidden in my food. Not visible, I took a bite full and started chewing to discover that this clump of staples were in my mouth and I was close to swallowing (I may have actually swallowed a staple). I spit it out when it became clear that sharp items were in my mouth and were cutting against my teeth and gums. I was physically shaking from this discovery when I spit it out and the clump of staples were in my chewed food. In disbelief, I pushed my food away and called our local P.F. Chang's. They seemed concerned at the time and refunded our takeout order. We threw the rest of the order away because we weren't sure if more staples were in all of the entrees (3 entrees total). We didn't eat that night. They told me that they were consulting their corporate offices and would call me back with steps they would take to remedy our experience. A few days later I received a letter and a $25.00 gift card. That was their level of concern. A $25.00 gift card was how they felt about the situation and the frightful experience I went through. We were disappointed at the low level of concern and treatment we received from something this serious. My family members asked if they could post about this on social media. I told them no and that P.F. Chang's would make this right. I wanted to give them the opportunity to do that. Well,...

Tonight’s dinner at PF Chang’s was an absolute treat! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of spectacular. The ambiance was cozy yet vibrant, offering the perfect setting for a night out with friends or family. As always, the staff(our server Princia) at PF Chang’s were welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home.

We kicked things off with the signature lettuce wraps, which are always a crowd-pleaser. The balance of savory, crunchy, and sweet flavors in each bite never disappoints. Then, we moved on to the main courses, and let me just say, Princia's recommendation on the crispy honey chicken was perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with just the right amount of sweetness that wasn’t overpowering.

Another standout was the Mongolian beef, which had the perfect combination of tender beef, savory sauce, and caramelized onions. Each dish was bursting with flavor and showed true mastery in balancing textures and spices.

What really blew me away, though, was the dessert — the Great Wall of Chocolate. Rich, decadent, and indulgent, it was the perfect way to end a truly memorable meal.

Overall, the entire experience was flawless. The updated menu at PF’s has truly taken the classic PF Chang’s flavors to the next level, while still maintaining the dishes that make this restaurant a go-to. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a fantastic, flavorful meal in a comfortable yet elegant setting. I’ll definitely be...

The atmosphere here to me is an American view of Little China of like San Francisco. It does at least have a sophisticated feel to it. I ordered the Hand Folded Crab Wontons (6 for $13), Chang Spicy Chicken Bowl ($13.50), and the Great Wall of Chocolate ($12). The Wontons have Creamy crab filling, bell pepper, green onion, spicy plum sauce. To me they were a big disappointment. Bland and very ehh. Plus very overpriced. The Chang's Spicy Chicken has Signature sweet-spicy chili sauce and green onions over rice. This I found very good. I was worried it would be too spicy, however it wa just enough to feel. The portion size felt perfect. The Wall of Chocolate is Six layers of chocolate cake, chocolate frosting, semi-sweet chocolate chips. It is very very Rich, but very good and a very good size slice. The person I was with ordered the Ginger Chicken Bowl (13.5) which has Ginger-garlic aromatics, green onion, steamed broccoli over rice. This was declared to be excellent. The also got the Great Wall of Chocolate and enjoyed it. The service was good, especially being short staffed on a Saturday. Overall a 4 1/2 star review. However since I need to round it becomes a very strong 4. Would I return? Absolutely, to me this felt like an upscaled version of Chinese food. Maybe slightly overpriced, but acceptable.
