We had a very disappointing date night here, and I believe the overall quality has declined as this used to be a restaurant we enjoyed. The restaurant was not very full and waits on drinks and food were very long so I suspect there may have been some staffing issues. We order two cocktails which took about 20minutes to come out, along with our appetizer a few minutes after. Besides the confusingly long wait, the cocktails tasted good and the appetizer was good. I ordered a 14oz Medium Rare Ribeye and this is where the issues began. The steak was seemingly over cooked on one side with not much attention to the back side. The overcooked side of the steak was a hard, crunch texture while the inside was cooked completely until halfway where it was all pink through. I've noticed other pictures similar to mine concerning the steak. It didn't taste good so I did not eat it. Our waiter took the steak off the bill and at the time that seemed appropriate but looking back in very dissatisfied with how this situation was handled. I feel as if a manger should have came out or maybe even something subtle like offering a new one since the previous one was removed. We then ordered a dessert through the touch monitor (I try to avoid ordering through these usually) and there must have been some confusion because that took a very long time to come out and we had to "Call our Waiter" on the touchscreen to inform him we had an order placed for quite some time. We were looking for a spontaneous dinner dater with a few drinks and plenty of food and instead I feel like I spent $60 just to eat some chicken tenders, poke at my lovely date’s food, artichoke dip, wait forever for a drink, and overall feel like I got ripped off. It's a shame because we used to love this place, it's fallen off over the years, go somewhere else.

Atmosphere – 4 stars Cheddar’s had a very nice atmosphere with plenty of seating both inside and out. The restaurant was clean, had a full bar, and the decor was nicely done- especially liked the large aquarium in the wall behind the bar. Outdoor seating is a nice option, and the large parking lot made access easy. The only downside was that it felt a bit too cold inside. Service – 3 stars We were seated quickly, which was a plus. However, it took nearly ten minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. Our waitress was friendly, but very slow overall. She mentioned starting us off with warm, buttery croissants—which sounded great—but unfortunately, we never received them. Food – 3 stars The highlight of the meal was definitely the Baked Potato Soup—rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The rest of the food was a mixed bag. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap was over-sauced, and the wrap fell apart while eating. In hindsight, grilled chicken would have been a better choice than the battered version. The Country Fried Chicken plate came with mashed potatoes and broccoli cheese casserole, but everything was just lukewarm. The chicken itself was okay, but nothing to write home about. Overall – 3 out of 5 stars A decent dining experience with some bright spots, but slow service and temperature issues with the food kept it from being great. Cheddar’s has potential—especially with its great soup and atmosphere—but consistency and attentiveness would go a long way.

Stopped in for a quick lunch on a road trip. The restaurant is conveniently located in a plaza off the freeway with its own parking lot. They have both indoor and outdoor patio seating. We were greeted and seated immediately. The server touched base and provided ice water and delicious honey butter croissants. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, bacon cheeseburger and New Orleans style pasta. Then we waited and waited and waited. It took almost 40 minutes to get our meals. To his credit the server kept us well supplied with croissants and water but when the meal finally came the burger was over cooked (burnt) the bacon on it was also over cooked (burnt black) and the whole sandwich was only lukewarm. The pasta was fine served up hot. The chicken sandwich was so hot it burnt the mouth. Not sure what happened with the burger but they clearly need to work on it and their meal timing. Luckily you can pay at the tablet on the table so we didn’t have to wait for the bill. If you’re in a rush this is probably not a good place to stop. Star docked for the burnt lukewarm burger.

We were in their restaurant on July 1st around 3:30pm and let me tell you, we will definitely be going back.

The young lady who was at the door, was a short girl with black hair and I wish I got her name. I walk with a cane due to back problems and each time, she would open the door for me. To me, that is kindness and the type of professionalism, every business needs and it’s great to see, because you do not find that anymore.

Our waitress was KENZIE and she was awesome. She is kind, you can tell she had a big heart by talking with her, a people person, always smiling, very attentive to our needs, great customer service and can strike up a conversation of any kind.

We were in visiting our grandson from Virginia, we were talking about Virginia Tech and she mentioned, she will be going to college there and that struck up a great conversation with her.

It’s a shame, you all will be losing her when she goes to college and I just hope, you all continue the type of service she showed to us.

As busy as she was and all she had to do, she found the time to speak with us.

That meant so much to us, because it is so hard to find customer service of that level anymore and the professionalism and kindness, she showed to us.

Her kindness meant so much, because it was one of the last places we ate with my son, before he was killed by a drunk driver in August 2021.

So it was hard to come back there and KENZIE, made it so much easier with her kindness and professionalism.

Please Thank KENZIE for us and all that she did. If she works at a Cheddars in the surrounding area of Virginia Tech, we hope we see her there and I know, she will be a great addition to that restaurant.

The food was great, was on time and for what you pay for your meal, it is worth it to eat there.

Thank You all at the Cheddars Restaurant, #2132.

Keep up the great work and we will definitely be back, when we are in Morgantown.

If there was a corporate # I could get, I would appreciate it. Or if the district manager could call or email me, that would be great as well and that is because, it is alot better to speak with them and have a voice to a name.

Thank You...

I was highly disappointed in the quality of food at this location. I've gone to at least three Cheddar's restaurants throughout the US and the food here does not equal up to my past experiences. Cheddar's is one of my favorite chain restaurants because the quality of food and taste. This location just need to shutdown because the food was horrible.

Let's begin! So because the restaurant was cleaning the day my sister and I visited we could only do a curbside order, which was fine. I ordered my usual thing, country fried chicken dinner with mash and fries. I always eat half and take the rest home. Ok....I absolutely love the Texas toast that comes with it because I dip in the gravy. I wanted to cry because the Texas toast that came with my meal with hard and burnt... The bread didn't even get soft from the chicken sitting on top of it. The gravy tasted very different than what I'm use to having at Cheddar's. The chicken... One was juicy and cooked to perfection, the other... Seemed like it was from a day ago and cooked again. The batter was extremely hard to the point I couldn't eat. The mash🤮🤮...I wanted to throw the whole meal away🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

Next...on to my sister meal. I felt bad for her because I always rave about Cheddar's and was so sad that her first experience was bad too. She ordered fish, rice, and the broccoli casserole.... The fish was the only thing that tasted good. The rice for one tasted like it was left out over night, uncovered, and warmed up the following day. That ish was disgusting! It was so hard and didn't taste like anything! The broccoli casserole, which is normally bomb....🤮🤮. Idk what they did, but it tasted like nothing!

Lastly, y'all know the banging croissants that you get....mannnnnn....hard as a rock too! I just wanted to cry because nothing was enjoyable. It all tasted like 2 day old good and reheated. I'm so disappointed in my experience at...
