Whipped Feta with Hot Honey and Pecans: A Bold, Creamy Delight
This dish is a revelation of flavors and textures. The whipped feta is impossibly smooth, its tangy saltiness softened by a velvety, almost cloud-like consistency. Just as you settle into that creamy richness, the hot honey swoops in--sweet, floral, and laced with just enough heat to make your taste buds sit up and take notice. Then come the pecans, perfectly toasted, adding an earthy crunch that rounds everything out beautifully.
Spread on warm crostini or scooped up with crisp vegetables, every bite is a little indulgent, a little surprising, and completely addictive. It's the kind of appetizer that disappears fast, leaving only the lingering memory of its irresistible contrast--salty and sweet, smooth and crunchy, comforting yet exciting. A must-try for anyone who loves bold flavors done right.
Crispy Brussels Sprouts with Whipped Feta, Spicy Thai Chili Sauce, and Parmesan: A Flavor Explosion
This dish takes Brussels sprouts to a whole new level. Each sprout is perfectly crispy, with caramelized edges that give way to a tender, nutty center. The whipped feta adds a cool, creamy contrast, its tangy richness balancing the deep, roasted flavors. Then comes the spicy Thai chili sauce--a bold, sweet heat that wakes up every bite and keeps you reaching for more.
Just when you think it can't get any better, a dusting of Parmesan steps in, adding a layer of salty umami that ties everything together beautifully. The combination of textures--crispy, creamy, melty--and flavors--savory, spicy, tangy, and sweet--makes this dish utterly irresistible. Whether as a side or a standout appetizer, it's the kind of plate that disappears fast, leaving everyone wondering why Brussels sprouts weren't always this exciting.
Deviled Eggs with Roasted Corn, Cilantro, Feta, Lime Zest, and Tajín: A Zesty Twist on a Classic
These deviled eggs are anything but ordinary. The creamy filling is rich and smooth, with just the right amount of tang, but it's the toppings that steal the show. Sweet, smoky roasted corn adds a juicy pop, while crumbles of feta bring a salty, briny contrast. Fresh cilantro weaves in a bright, herbal note, making each bite feel fresh and vibrant.
Then there's the finishing touch--zesty lime and a sprinkle of Tajín, which add a citrusy kick and just the right amount of chili-lime heat. The balance of creamy, crunchy, smoky, and tangy flavors makes these deviled eggs an instant crowd-pleaser. They're bold, unexpected, and completely addictive--a must-try for anyone who loves a little spice and a lot of flavor.
The service was outstanding. She gave us drink and food recommendations. We were able to sit in patio and enjoy the weather!
Although I don't remember the names of all the fancy cocktails, we...
Read moreI truly enjoyed this stop. The restaurant is clean. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. I tried a variety of items on the menu. Overall, the food quality and flavor was top notch. There were a few things that weren't to my taste. However, i had conversation with a few regular, locals that had nothing but positive input... I'm a sucker for a well cooked fried green tomato so i started there. The trick of getting a well seasoned, crispy coating and a firm, flavorful tomato inside eludes me. They get the flavor crisp part spot on, I'm not sure about the tomato inside... I'm not even sure if there was a tomato inside but for the chewy, dehydrated skin that was reminiscent of a tomato... That said, between the perfect fry and the magical dollop of pimento cheese coupled with the bbq drizzle... i emptied the plate and happily demolished the remaining lettuce garnish with cheese and sauce. My least favorite were the deviled eggs. They weren't "bad" just lacked flavor, consistency and texture. I did like the tajin/cilantro dusting of green and red on top. It was visually appealing and had a good balance of spice. I couldn't make out the "street corn" flavor and I'm not sure i want my deviled eggs to taste like street corn. The couple seated next to me demolished theirs and said it was one of their favorite menu items... Next was the truffle burger. I ordered brussel sprouts and okra on the side. I was expecting a traditional cornmeal batter on the okra, the length-wise cut and tempura batter was a pleasant surprise. Even better was the obviously fresh, bright, firm and not slicky okra, PERFECT. I didn't need a condiment i only wish there were more than 5 slices on the plate. The brussel sprouts were delicious as well. Fried thin, chip-like in texture and well-seasoned. They even managed the appropriate carmalized char. I didn't even miss the whipped feta. I can imagine the magical combo based on the chefs other selected pairings. The burger was phenomenal. Juicy and flavorful, an excellent quality of beef. The potato bun is also the right acutrimen. I didn't want it to end. My compliments to the bartender as well, the mixed cocktails went down easy and were just enough kick. So many drinks, so little time and I'm driving... so i stopped at 2. The pineapple express and some basil infused wonder. Next visit, the Buble-D. The BEST part of the meal was meeting the owner. It wasn't because he presented himself as such. I didn't know. The gentleman greeted me warmly and thanked me for coming. I noticed his attention to the details of the facility and waitstaff. He has mastered the lost art of hospitality. That alone would bring me back. Thanks for a great...

The beverages here shine, particularly the Strawberry Frozé, which is a delightfully refreshing fusion of strawberry flavor and Rosé. The frozen texture adds a wonderful depth to the drink, making it reminiscent of a luxurious strawberry frozen yogurt. An equally impressive offering is the Butterfly Key Lime Margarita. This unique, purple concoction owes its captivating color and flavors to the Butterfly Pea Flower, making for an unforgettable twist on a classic margarita.
The appetizers follow suit in impressing the palate. The Boom Boom Shrimp emerged as our group's favorite, leaving us in awe with its well-executed flavors. Other highlights included the crunchy Mac and Cheese bites, featuring a mix of various cheeses wrapped in a breadcrumb crust, a tasty pretzel, and the innovative Popper Deviled Eggs which are pickled jalapeno and pimento cheese deviled eggs topped with bacon and blackening spice. It was no surprise to learn that the Boom Boom Shrimp sold out shortly after our order!
Regrettably, the entrees did not live up to the impressive start. The burgers, particularly the pork dumpling burger, failed to deliver on taste, texture, and presentation. The side of fries that arrived cold and unappetizing only deepened our disappointment.
Despite the less-than-stellar main courses, Bohemian Bull's Grapevine location retains its charm as a great spot for small group gatherings, offering a fantastic array of drinks and appetizers. Here's hoping your venture into the entrée section yields a better...
