In airports, dining options can be limited or simply way overpriced. Since Chili's is a chain, you have an idea of what to expect and prices are reasonable.
Seating at this airport terminal location is limited (by gate C-35); it depends on key hours.
On the first part of my trip, I went here for a burger and loved it. Service was great and friendly, and the food was awesome. I highly recommend their burgers and fries. You can add-on items like avocado, bacon, and more.
On my return, there was a cold snap, and the whole airport was in turmoil. I decided I would try their bowl of chili. I've had many different kinds of chili over the years; I can say this was way too salty and caustic with too much spice. I can't believe I'm writing that because I love salt and spicy food! I thought it would be comfort food, but it was difficult to eat even part of it. If there was ground beef present, it was undiscernible.
Other than the chili, everything else was either great or acceptable.
On your bill, there is a code to scan to pay online. I could never get it to work, so I eventually had the server charge me...
Read moreHad a morning layover and dropped in while we waited. I appreciated the host checking how much time until our flight to make sure we'd have enough time to eat. I ordered the Cajun Pasta and Molten Chocolate Cake. My friend ordered the Classic Breakfast. While the pasta made for a unique breakfast (too many red eyes), it was hearty and tasted great. The molten lava cake, since you probably didn't know this, tastes just as good at 10 AM as it does in the evening. I highly recommend the cake. My friend said the Classic Breakfast hit the spot.
Evelyn, our server, was prompt and helpful. I appreciated her quickness. We were in and out in 40 minutes, and we weren't necessarily in a hurry so about 20 minutes of ordering and waiting and 20 minutes of eating.
The dining room can be cramped if you have big carry-ons, and I wouldn't have a party of more than 4. But it's a clean restaurant and has a good location. If I happen to be in Terminal C for a layover in the future, I'd...
Read moreI've never had a bad experience at Chili's. Until now.
I had a 45 minute layover and thought I'd grab a bite at my favorite place on my company's dime. The people in front of me were assured that the 30 minutes they had was plenty of time to eat. So 45 should have been easy.
It took forever for the server to come over. I was ready. Drink, appetizer, and entree as it was way past dinner and I hadn't even eaten lunch. My appetizer and drink came out fine and, as I finished, I started to wonder where my entree was. I had 10 minutes until boarding, but my gate was right there so it was ok, right? I flagged her down. She apologized for how long it was taking. I asked for a box. The entree came. They were boarding my group. I asked for a box again. She brought me a refill on my drink. I asked for a box again.
I was the last person to board my completely full flight and I rushed out of there so fast I forgot the receipt to turn in for reimbursement. There...
