Early lunch in Fort Worth sent us to Cousins Cityview- our cousin had been going here for 30 years herself. Its cafeteria style, pull up a tray and go down the line telling them what you want. I like that get down to business style. I had a old style platter to share with my daughter. Came with 2 huge pork ribs, 2 slabs of prime brisket, a lump of pulled pork with mustard BBQ sauce and jalapeno sausage. We also got creamed corn, beans, potato salad and 2 x Texas toast, candied jalapenos and marinated red onions. WOW. $36 was a steal- I think we ordered one of those sides as extra. Ribs: huge all natural Duroc pork ribs- not fatty but meaty. Hickory smoke with a bark and a touch of i think vinegar that seeped out of the juicy ribs. Right amount of seasoning too. Didnt need sauce for gods sake. A Prime Brisket-had the bark and moisture and taste, maybe a little dry but thats being picky. B+ Pulled Pork- A little fatty but damn that sauce and moisture was worth the stomach issue. The mustard sauce an A. A Jalapeno Cheese Sausage- plenty of moisture and cheese. Coulda been a bit more spicy for me. B+ Texas Toast- maybe not hot enough- who cared-B Texas Street Corn- creamy, and un fng real. A+ Bacon Potato salad- plenty of bacon and mayo and not dry - one of the all time best-A+ Booties Cowboy Beans-smoked brisket mixed in and thick- wow-A+ Candied Jalapenos / Onions-marinated, not spicy , sweet, PERFECT-A+ Pecan cookie-scary gooey and thick-do it Dont skip this place-I would go back- didnt even need sauce- it was thinner and not...

Brisket was dry but the bbq sauce, while watery, was tasty. Side of broccoli rice casserole was horrible, like a salt lick with spices. Mac n cheese was bland. Worst part was the service when ordering. They were not too busy. The blond girl with half brown hair was one of the worst customer service people ever. She clearly hated me for no more than being a traveler unfamiliar with the menu. I had asked a question and she gave me a sarcastic response, then when I answered she was clearly mad because she had to change the order. If she had waited till I answered the question she wouldn't have had to change it. She gave me this horrible look and rolled her eyes so hard. It was so rude! I said sorry I was not familiar with the menu, but I did nothing wrong, I shouldn't have apologized. I should have said "you know what, with that attitude, forget it" but I was hungry and tired. If she hates people and customer service that much she should go elsewhere, I know I will not be going back ever,...

I love BBQ and don’t eat it often so I was excited to try this place on an empty stomach. I got the sliced brisket sandwich for $15.19 and two sides, potato salad and the mac & cheese, $3 each. This ended up being a very, very disappointing experience. The brisket sandwich actually had some good pieces of meat. Unfortunately, it was so salty it was completely distracting me from the taste of the brisket and that much salt in the mouth is unpleasant. I ate most of the sandwich because I was hungry but couldn’t finish it. The potato salad: also very salty and I only took a few bites before I gave up. The only thing I completed was the mac and cheese which was average. The two stars are because the food was ready fast and the cashier was very friendly, answered my questions, and offered me a large ice water since I wasn’t going to buy a beverage there. With a 15% tip and tax I ended up paying $26.12 which for a meal that wasn’t good, is just robbery. You’ve...
