Few things. Girl at the front literally lifts her head up and peaks over the tablet when it's turned around in tip mode to watch how much you tip. She did it to me and I watched her do it to the only other person to order the whole time I sat there. I have never seen that anywhere but it's bizarre behavior and I won't be back just because of that. The whole covid thing of tipping everyone for breathing needs to go and I don't like feeling guilted into it. No one does but no one speaks up. Second, I was reading the review about the cook picking his nose or whatever and thought it would be an exaggeration but the cook sneezed into the bowl area where all the food was he was preparing. A massive mega sneeze with no hand covering because he had stuff in his hands already and just straight into the food bowl where our chicken bits were, like a foot away he was standing right there looking right at all the food and mega sneeze, he turned and made eye contact with me and I just stared at him and he stared at me before he then moved the metal bowl contents to the fryer basket and into the fryer. They ended up being my wife's (and some other unknown person's) who said that it didn't matter because they went into the fryer anyways and it would fry everything off which is pretty correct, true, but she ended up not eating them anyways. My son didn't like the grilled cheese so I tried it and the bread was tough and it was greasy and it tasted like a mixture of vegetable oil and butter. Extremely pathetic for 7 dollars. $7 for two slices of bread and a slice of processed cheese is something you should be ashamed of. Now, onto the good because there is good. The chicken sandwich was really nice. I think they forgot to put comebawk sauce on mine, but I had some meant for the chicken bites so I got to dunk it in. Great flavors. The breading on the chicken was great, tastes like crackers which is how I do my chicken fried chicken but I actually like theirs better than mine which makes sense because mine is not no 13 dollars. I wouldn't call this hot chicken. It was hot and it was chicken, but it's not hot chicken. Not even close no dunk of spicy oil, more slaw and a completely different sauce. I don't know, weird place, weird staff, weird name, great chicken when it's not sneezed on. Won't be back though. If you have a camera in there and want to see the sneeze it was 11/29/2023 after 4:51pm but...
Read moreSTAY AWAY!! There is a reason this place is not busy, and there are no lines. We were at the bar, and the hall was very crowded. Looking around, there were lines everywhere. We decided to place an order through the Harvest Hall website. We received a text saying our food was ready at the Main bar. When we went to the pickup order spot, it was not there, but a receipt for our order was there. We asked the bar, and they were not sure where our food was. After waiting quite some time, our order never arrived, and we decided to go to the Firebawks food stall. Two guys were leaning on the counter, and when we let them know about our order, they gave it to us. I asked one of the guys if we could have a soda for the inconvenience, and he said he could not do that. Either one of them could have placed our order at the pickup site instead of leaning on the counter doing nothing and making us run around/wait. I am injured and in a walking boot, and this was a huge inconvenience. This place has POOR service. They could not even give us a single soda to try to make things right. When we sat down to eat our food, there were tons of gross charred black flakes on our buns and on our cheese. You can tell they do not clean their grills well when cooking. Save your hard earned dollars and go somewhere else. There are so many other options to choose from at Harvest Hall. DO...
Read moreIt’s really a one star experience, but I like to give the benefit of the doubt and say maybe it was a string of bad luck. $25 + 15% tip for a salad and fries not worth it
I ordered the kale Cesar salad with fried chicken and some waffle fries on the side, and paid for the side of chipotle Ranch. I asked for no cheese on the salad and the clerk said it didn’t come with cheese.
The clerk asked me for my phone number twice and said I would get a text when the food is ready. I never got a text so I just went to check after about 20 minutes and they handed me cold food with cheese on it.
I asked if they could remove the cheese and reheat it. They removed the cheese and handed it back to me (something I could’ve done). I asked them to reheat it and showed them my inbox with no text messages from them and even offered another $5 tip (they said another tip is not necessary). What they did was just refry my waffle fries. This made them too greasy, I couldn’t even eat them. Are waffle fries that expensive to make that you can’t just make a new batch? They don’t come with the meal and they’re like $7.
At this point I was tired of going back to ask for more fixes and took the L. To be fair, the salad tasted fine, but it was really a Romain lettuce salad with a few pieces...
