I got the Chorizo Skillet Scrambler with tomatoes and mushrooms added. It was pretty good. I asked for some salsa and that added to the flavor. I had to ask a second time for the milk I ordered and it was $3.50 for a small glass. My order was $19.95 for the skillet and milk so it was $24 after my tip. I totally understand the cost though. It is in a premium location so I know their rent is astronomical. I also know that with this Biden economy that smaller places are having a very hard time keeping the bills paid and the doors open so at this point I don't fault ownership for the very high priced milk and not so inexpensive meal in general. That's the norm regardless of where you dine in this very difficult economy. I see places closing their doors all over the place and hear of major chains shutting down stores all across our nation. Ya'll better hope Trump wins or things are going to get much much worse, and not just for your retailers, for all of us! Everything is going up, up, up and up again! As far as casual dining, well it's not going to be so casual anymore, very quickly if things don't change and very soon! In any case, their AC was not working very well either. It was very hot outside even at 10:30a it was like 100°. It was almost too uncomfortable to enjoy my meal. If it had been any hotter outside, which it will be as the day gets older it would not be fit for someone like myself to relax and enjoy a meal on the inside. Like I posted, I give it a 3.5 to 4 star rating. They definitely need to get that AC going strong. If the AC was right I would give it a definite 4 stars.

I hate that I'm giving this place 2 stars. I hoped that it would have been better. I just moved my office down the street, and I do enjoy a good diner every morning before work. That said... My server only had me in her section. I had coffee, which she never checked on for a refill until after I finished my meal. I had to flag down the other server for coffee. She was sweet - just preoccupied. I ordered migas with chorizo. That came with hashbrowns and beans. The hashbrowns weren't really cooked. The beans - just why? There were so few that I could have counted them while there if I wanted - and not rushed to do it. Plus, Van Camp's pop top beanee weenees, anyone?! Then the migas were pretty much tasteless other than the jalapeños and dry, too. The coffee was good, but they charged Starbucks prices for a cup of black coffee. The prices were high all around. Just no.

Okay! Here is update on my prior review. I kept it at the bottom, just to make sure people know that sometimes a place needs a second chance. Coffee tasted great. Son ordered a latte. He thought he was fancy... Food was out quickly even with them being busy. Pancakes and waffles were on point. Eggs were cooked well, yeah that's ketchup don't judge me.... Bacon good. Sausage fine. Overall much better meal than last time and we will be back! Wanted a good brunch. This was not. Everything is premade and not from scratch. Husband got chicken fried steak he said it was rubbery. My bacon was burned, sausage was dry and stiff, ham burnt and the top of my biscuit was burned. Kids pancakes were amazing and so was his side of fries... hashbrowns were also okay. Service was quick and she was back refilling drinks quickly. But I would have rather had Starwood Cafe for the money.

Someone stopped at our table 20 times minimum. I was asked if we needed anything. I asked for napkins. I didn't get them but no worries I was asked again. I was asked if I wanted grits or fruit with my meal. I picked grits. My order was wrong the first time. I waited patiently while my family ate without me. When it came the second time I asked where the grits were. They were brought to the table then I was told it doesn't come with the meal. I took it anyway because by this time I'm hungry and annoyed. I was told the grits were removed from my bill since the order came out wrong initially... so... the grits I was offered as if it was part of the meal was comp WOW thanks! The bill came and was $41 for the three of us. I gave my credit card and the receipt was returned with a charge amount of $49. I was told it was changed because my original receipt didn't include the drinks. While I understand there was an error on their end there wasn't communication about the change in my bill until AFTER my card had been charged. I asked the waitress if she charged my card an additional amount without letting me know first and she said yes because they didn't add drinks. She then walked off and returned with the original receipt to show me where they made a mistake. While I'm happy to pay for anything I order I don't think it's appropriate to take my card telling me it will be charged one amount and charging extra without the courtesy of letting me know first. The horrid service completely overshadowed the meal. Never again. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone that is hungry upon arrival or...

Looking at all these reviews and driving by this place many times and seeing it full I was eager to try it. I finally got a chance to stop in and give the brunch a try. It took probably a good 2-3 mins for what looked like owner and manager at the front to even notice me and offer me to a table. Ok no big deal seemed like they were handling something. I can give that a pass. The busser came over and got my drink order and brought it right away, ok a plus there. It took the waitress another 10 minutes to even come over and acknowledge my table (mind you the restaurant was not packed, steady but not busy). She took my order. Then took 20 mins to get the food (it was just me dining in so only 1 simple classic American breakfast and nothing special). She did come out with the food and did apologize for the wait. Food was subpar (I'm a huge breakfast foodie and know what great even good breakfast food is and this was not it). Waitress only checked in once and didn't come back. In between that visit and the time I was finished with my meal I had finished with my drink and had not even been offered a refill or a glance towards the table. When I finished the polite busser did come to my table and prebus. But I still sat there before the waitress even noticed I had no food no drink and was ready to go before she brought me my bill. I'm sorry but both the food and the service of this place is lacking and needs some work before I will...
