I was super disappointed. We came here all the time before they changed the name. We got to the restaurant and had to wait 15 minutes for anyone to really even acknowledge we were there. We noticed one of the ladies working was INCREDIBLY overwhelmed. Both of us used to work in a very busy restaurant, so we get being overwhelmed, but sheesh!!! Slow down and breathe. We FINALLY got seated and as soon as we were, the lady told us that they were busy and it would be a while before anyone took our order and ran off before we could even respond. She did bring out our drinks, but she was in such a hurry and so stressed that she spilled it and it got on me. Another server finally came over and got our order and was very nice and CALM. We ordered sushi and it came out very fast and was amazing. The food on the other hand, took FOREVER. They were clearly understaffed. It's a Friday night and they only had 2 severs and 3 cooks. Thank GOD our cook was amazing. The food was great and he was very energetic and entertaining. We felt awful that we had to ask for to go boxes and our check before he was even finished cooking just to ensure we would get it in a timely manner. As soon as he was done cooking, we boxed it up and left. We had our son with us and had to go feed him. When we got there, we had plenty of time to enjoy, but by the time we were seated and got our food, we had to leave without being able to enjoy our food fresh. Maybe we will give them time to work out whatever kinks they have and return at a later time. The one waitress definitely needs more practice and training on how to handle customers and stress. Read moreIf it were possible to leave negative stars we would. I called to make a reservation for Mother's day & the guy I spoke to said okay & took my name, party size, time & phone number. Instead of informing me over the phone the 2 times we spoke on 2 different occasions that they would not be accepting reservations he took it anyways, & then told me that I was wrong. He then proceeded to call me a liar & be EXTREMELY disrespectful to all of the members in my party. Needless to say, we will not be returning if the employees & who we believe is the manager is okay with being rude & disrespectful to customers. Do not recommend going if you want to have a nice dinner with friends & family.
Update: The owner continues to claim that they notified me that told me I could not make a reservation that day after calling to confirm my reservation for mother's day. The response I received was interesting saying they took my name & number for changes if necessary, except what changes would be made if no reservation is accepted? Are you going to change hours? No. Just disappointing that the owner is going to be disrespectful to a party of 10 who spent hundreds of dollars there in one sitting. As stated before, both of the families that attended were extremely upset by the rudeness of the owner & will not be returning despite being regular customers. Read moreWe came here for dinner hibachi. After 20 minutes of waiting, we started asking the owner (guy making the rolls) when we would be seated and he seated us after an HOUR. We waited another 15 minutes and one of the people in our party was starving and asked him if we could order one roll of sushi while we waited for the chef. We continued to wait for another almost 30 minutes and we decided to leave for another restaurant. This was when he came over with the sushi roll. We told him we were going to leave and we could all tell he was upset. He did not even once apologize for the delay. He kept saying it would just be a few minutes and that is why we waited so long and we gave the benefit of doubt because of the reviews....NEVER again.
6/14/23 Update: responding to the owners comment below. You kept telling us "few more minutes". Seated us an hour later. After that we waited another 45 minutes and not once did anyone on your staff even offer us a glass of water. If you feel that is good customer service then I am not sure you are in the right business.
