Sunday breakfast. Restaurant area was about 1/2+ full. We were seated, served coffee (after asking for a new clean coffee cup), table of 6 who sat after is ordered before us. We waited a good 40 minutes for our meals. Knew the food was ‘sitting’ because the gravy had that your food has been sitting ‘film’ on top. Potatoes and eggs were cold, steak was hot (and tasty), gravy was warm because of the hot steak. Sausage scramble had no sausage in it and cold potatoes and eggs. Coffee was weak. Service was ok. Didn’t finish our meals, after an hour being there we had to go. If you are young and ‘cool’, just care about ambiance, this place is for you. If you expect good attentive service (as we couldn’t even make eye contact with our server) and food this is not your place. I was super bummed as we enjoy going out for Sunday breakfasts. As a previous restaurant owner a good floor manager would make sure guests know the wait time and handle table seating/ordering properly and I would be appalled at the kitchen for sending out...

We came here after traveling all day, with our 3 kids. The restaurant was COMPLETELY empty, minus a couple tables outside and a bar full of guys. We ordered appetizers and didn't even get them until AFTER OUR FOOD came out, our appetizer order was chips and cheese and poutine (I didn't know it took so long to warm up some cheese and put some chips on a plate)!! I ordered the tacos and they were freezing cold along with the rice and beans. It took them almost 1.5 hrs to get our full meal. I want to make it clear that our waitress was amazing!!! She kept going back to the kitchen and seeing what was going on. The guy working in the kitchen wasn't there more than half the time (we had direct site to the kitchen). Again, the waitress was amazing! I'm not normally one to leave reviews but after tonight, I will never be coming back if that same guy is in the kitchen (older guy with glasses). I recommend seeing who is working in the kitchen before...

This place seems to prioritize vibe over flavor, with the exception of their drinks.

We started with the Hummus plate and Brussel Sprouts. While neither was offensive, neither was particularly tasty.

The entrees followed suit. I had Sweet Tea Chicken Tenders, one friend had a ranch chicken salad, another had a Chicken Wrap, and our fourth ordered a rice and beans bowl I can't recall the name of.

We all shared the same underwhelming reaction: "Meh." While I can't speak to the specific flavors of everyone's meal, the claim that the chicken was brined in sweet tea seemed far-fetched. It was perhaps the least flavorful fried chicken I've ever encountered – not bad, but it could have easily been boiled.

The drinks, however, were a highlight. I enjoyed a Montanan, the ladies had a couple of Orchids, and my buddy had another large drink that he said was good.

So, if you're hungry, eat beforehand. If you're thirsty,...

Food is exceptional but slow cook times as its cooked fresh. They don't offer table service so if you go during meal times you can expect quite a long wait at the bar to order. They give you a number tag for your table. Apparently there was only 1 or 2 women bussing the tables so that added to the sit around time. Looks like they have some awesome bar drinks which would make the wait easier. When woman came by to deliver our meals she offered us water but then promptly forgot. Again, the food was really fresh and delicious. Today I had the rice bowl with pork Barbaco and l Ioved it. Hub said his burger and fries were quite good. We have also tried the shrimp grits which were exceptional. Would have liked to sit in the patio area but it's only wheel chair accessible by exiting out front of restaurant and following the sidewalk around the building to the back.

The Magpie is hands down the best place to go in Great Falls. Almost every staff member is incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food is absolutely phenomenal. The atmosphere is unique and stylish, with a vibe that feels almost foreign for the area in the best way. Nearly everything is made in-house, including their fruit-infused liquors used in their fantastic cocktails. Both brunch and dinner are consistently delicious, and the cocktail menu is just as impressive. They recently opened a new prohibition/speakeasy style bar called The Glass Bucket, which is easily the coolest little bar and casino in the city. With endless food and drink options, rotating weekly desserts, and such a high standard of quality, it’s amazing that this place has only been open for three years-it already feels like a local classic in the making. Highly recommend

Pretty solid, food was pretty good little pricey drinks good and reasonable. One drink tasted and felt nothing other drink felt like I was having a drink Good time good place would likely go again but maybe other place depends on when I come back and how long I am in town. I want to try some other spots in town next time but if other spots no good this is best so far. Girlfriend wishes they had fried pickles but I don’t really care other than to appease her. Thank you. Please consider trying this place if you read this review unless there is another place you want to to try. This I likely better than Applebees but chilis will give anyone a run for their money
