Had a great time at this neat little bar in downtown Great Falls. I tried a Scotch Egg for the first time and loved it! I especially loved the mustard that was served along side the Scotch Egg. I'm not sure what was in that mustard but I couldn't get enough of it-I even dipped my fries in it. Our meals came and the food was great. I had the fish & chips and they were very good. My friend had the Shepherd's Pie. We both thought the food was excellent and the perfect amount to eat everything on your plate and not feel overstuffed. I usually ask for a flavored iced tea and request peach. Our server (Ayla) did not have peach however she suggested pear and the pear tea she made for me was amazing! She even made me a cup to go.😁 My friend ordered a Long Island Ice Tea and told me it was the best one he had tasted in a long time. The atmosphere of the bar is clean and neat with a comfortable living room looking type area in one corner and a couple of dart boards in the other corner. There's a piano on stage (no one was playing the piano but that would have added a fun element) We plan to go back to try the rest of the food on the menu. I'm hoping that Ayla will be our server again.

We asked the locals, checked Google and decided on Celtic Cowboy. We have been here 2 times lunch and dinner during our stay. The decor is charming and the people are friendly. The Irish Stew is rich and flavorful, and we have eaten both times. Be sure to get a bowl because your date will eat some. We ordered the Pork Jaegershnitzel and the Corned Beef and Cabbage this time. The pork had onions and mushrooms in a flavorful brown gravy, and even though the pork is pounded thinner, it wasn't dry. I ordered some in-house mustard as an accompaniment with my Corned Beef, which added to the experience. The meat was tender, and the broth with it would have made a great soup. I have only 1 suggestion. The bar was busy, and the bartender was training a new person and making drinks for everyone. The 3 girls standing by the pass line could have brought out our salad instead of playing on their phones and chatting. We wanted it before our food. That one little glitch doesn't change the fact that the food was very good. We left happy and ordered some bread pudding to go. This is an amazing dessert. Ask for a little extra sauce.

Went for dinner around 6:30. Couldn't find parking out front was thinking was busy. Seated right away but was 10-15 min wait just to get menus and water. There were only four tables with misc two or less people per table. Ordered steak and fries reasonably priced and ordered medium. It was charbroiled cooked and well done chewy and dry. I used to eat at the prime cut here and honestly that steak was better then what we ate. The service was slow also we waited 55 mins before getting our food and it was almost empty in the place. Just beer drinkers it appeared. Place definitely has Irish pub look including fiddler's playing jigs way cool for that vibe. Final thought cool place to have a beer but wouldn't eat here if your looking for a 30-45 min pit stop. I asked for horseradish to put on the dried steak and that was the real deal. Hot and that probably was the best part of the entire meal. 4 stars for vibe, 2 stars service and steak so I level it out with 3 with hope it was a one off bad meal.

The Celtic Cowboy is a great restaurant in Great Falls, Montana! We loved cozying up in a booth and eating their delicious made-from-scratch food. Featuring American and Irish eats, this is definitely a restaurant I'd love to visit again for food and drinks!
