I wish I could rate higher.. The food was outstanding and authentic, the bartender was a hoot, the atmosphere was just about perfect, but the wait staff ruined our night out. After putting in drink orders we had some time to wait, which is to be expected! After drinks were delivered by our lovely bartender, we never did see our waitress again. Trying to catch her attention as she walked by the table was impossible, she was more caught up talking with her friends who had come to visit. Finally caught her attention to order food and she had huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes as if we were a burden to her at her place of work. We decided to order small to get out quickly. We heard nice things about the owners and were excited to have a unique German pub in town. Took family to Sunday brunch. They’re busy (one turnover), but not swamped. Came in at 11am, recieved food 12:15pm. During the 75 minutes waiting, we were asked once about a drink refill. (Bad form, when a customers are drinking $10-$12 beers and martinis.) Brunch is limited menu- only crepes or weiners, should be quick to get out. Ordered crepes for $20 and two sausages for $24 ($12/ea). Hoped for a bit more- fried onions or peppers, good kraut, more sausage. The all beef dogs at Sams Club are better and cost $2. I’ll pay a premium price if I get good food, but look elsewhere.
