We used to love going to the hotels restaurant and getting happy hour .79 wings with our kids. Now that it's Tony Roma they sell 1lb of wings for $15 we ordered 2 lbs(9 wings on 1 & 8 on the other) or $3 off for happy hour which is still over a buck a wing and come burnt black (yes both orders) we started with an appitizer for the table the shrimp. When it came in a tiny little glass 3/4 filled with lettuce and 14 shrimp piled on top our son laughed and said "how much were these" $13 not prawns or even large shrimp but the tiny shrimp WITH TAILS ON So about a buck a shrimp. After we ate $37 dollars of food we were all hungry but this is not a place that gives portions that fill you up so we ordered a brownie for desert it came boarderline raw with chicolate ice cream and strawberry sauce.. the brownie was super dense from the ice cream and turned into dough into your mouth creating a rich paste of goo in your mouth. The chocolate icecream made it quite bad with the extra richness but the strawberry syrup was extra bad NOT PAIRING at all and fought with the flavor of rich chocolate. We all had 1 bite of the $9 dollar brownie and left it alone. Or server knew about the burnt wings and knew we did not not like the desert but did not not offer to replace or take off or anything (we did not ask either we just assumed he would do something) the desert he said he said "no one like it?" We all told him of our dissatisfaction with the raw brownie and richness was unpalatable. So he cleared it off the table then gave us a $50 dollar bill for 13 tiny shrimp, 17 burnt wings, 1 raw brownie, I scoop ice cream and a pop. It was our 3rd time going. First time we went for dinner the food did not match the price but nothing really to complain about it was warm and edible. Second time we called and asked about happy hour wings and was told 3-6 so we came in at 5 and were told they didn't have a happy hour anymore and we said we called then were told it was 3-5 so rather then a repeat edible meal we decided to go to McKinsey river and it was AMAZING as always. This last time my wife called and asked what time is happy hour for appotizer specials and .79 cent wings happy hour and they said 3-5 so we go at 3 and we're told there isn't a happy hour it's just $3 dollars off appitizers. So we won't be comming back to our once favorite happy hour wing place because it's a Tony Roma that we just do not like because its more of a sports bar with drunk patrons talking at 10x volume...
Read moreI will start off with - Our waitress was new and super nice. No problems with her. The food however, not so impressive. My wife and I went there for our anniversary. I wanted to go there because they have great Potato soup. Infact, we have a copycat recipe that we use all the time and people love it. However, great to my dismay, their potato soup sucked big time. The potatoes tasted like they were not fully cooked and were frozen. Actually even worse then that, dehydrated potatos that were not fully hydrated then frozen. It was not the soup I remembered. I wasn't able to eat more than a third of the soup and left the rest. I let my wife try it, after one bit she had enough. It has been a little bit since I ate there but my favorite soup turned into the worst soup I have had for years. (Buy any can of soup at the grocery store and it would have been better. Infact i just tried bearcreek creamy potato soup for the first time yesterday which is hydrated and it was far better than theirs) I also got the chicken strips. They were small and not that great. Dairy Queen's taste better and are cheaper. I am unable to think of any place in Great Falls that is worst. The only thing that was good, were their fries. My wife wasn't to impressed with her meal either, she did not like it. (some kind of cajun alfredo pasta) She only ate a little. We almost just left it but took it home and gave the rest to one of the kidos. Not a great anniversary date. It was a waste of time and money. If you do go there, maybe try there ribs, I remember them being good, but I am unwilling to ever go back myself...
Read moreSo disappointing. While the atmosphere is beautiful the service was less than impressive. We went for lunch and they were not busy so we were excited to try out the new restaurant in town but even being slow our waitress completely forgot about us. We had to ask to order our meals because we had been sitting there for 30 minutes and we had hungry kiddos. She seemed irritated by our request and walked away again. When we finally ordered she did not come back to our table from that point on. Another waitress was kind enough to check on us but obviously had her own tables to tend to. We watched tables around us who arrived after us receive their meals as were waiting about hour. Our waitress continued to walk past us checking on tables around us. I finally went and check in at the front to see if I could get a status on our meals. They talked amongst themselves and then walked away again... I sat back down with no update or apologies and that's when we figured out she really had forgot about us. So we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. Our waitress did not apologize she did not speak to us. Was cold and unfriendly. The manager seemed like he could care less about the whole situation. We were there for almost 2 hours trying to be patient and give them the benefit of the doubt but in the end I had...
