I'm not sure I can share the same enthusiasm as many of the other diners here. To be clear I was not impressed with my main dish (salmon) or best described (frozen bought and then overcooked) and was mildly amused with the salad. Nonetheless, the balsamic vinegar on the salad was delicious (aged & imported I believe), the bar service was quite friendly and the ambiance was welcoming. I'm not a local and do come from a larger metro city on the east coast... that said I have a standard of food preparation. Although, I do feel I let these standards modestly recoil when visiting new areas. I do like the Green Bay area. Overall, I don't feel the quality of what was served merited the price on the menu. I'd easily drop a $50 bill for myself to enjoy a decent meal. Not here though. However, maybe I picked the only dish on the menu that wasn't the pride and joy of a Sicilian menu but any salmon is a staple dish in an Italian-American kitchen. I'd invite the kitchen to consider trying better. I'd give Angelina a second chance with hopes of improvement in the future.

I had a great experience at Angelina Restaurant in Green Bay—this place nails the classic Italian vibe without feeling overly fancy. I walked in and was seated right away, which was a nice surprise. My server was super friendly, handed me a menu, and quickly brought my drink. I ordered the ravioli with tomato sauce, and it only took about 10 minutes to come out—fast enough to be impressive, but not so fast it felt rushed. The bread they brought out beforehand was warm, crusty on the outside, and honestly just really solid. Now for the star of the show: the ravioli. These weren’t your average frozen pouches—each one was big and generously stuffed with a creamy ricotta filling. The pasta was cooked just right, and while the filling was tasty, the tomato sauce stole the show. Bright, flavorful, and clearly homemade. I found myself mopping it up with the last of the bread. All in all, this was a comforting, satisfying Italian meal in a relaxed setting. No frills, just good food and friendly service. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town.

The image below is their risotto, on special, for 25$. Risotto - Not "day old rice soup" or anything else. Wild mushroom and sausage risotto. They clearly used standard rice, cooked it, then poured a sauce over it. Not even a thick, starchy sauce. I included a photo of the receipt because i honestly wouldn't believe a review like this. I'd think "this guy doesn't know what risotto is" but honestly, that's the chef, apparently. Or cook. Or some guy they just pulled off the street. I am a hobby chef. We all had to start somewhere, for sure, but not even the first risotto I ever made was this bad. I'd be so embarassed if I made something like this, and I can't imagine the lack of care for your work or career to serve something this poor to someone. You call and say "I am sorry, we made a mistake and don't have your risotto, here is a free order of tasty bread" or something. Anything. But you don't hand someone like this. Maybe they lost their chef and are making do, I don't know. But I'm never, ever going here again.

This past Saturday, my daughter, her boyfriend, my wife and I dined at Angelina in Green Bay to celebrate my recent birthday. My daughter and her boyfriend had eaten there for Valentine's Day and enjoyed their experience.

When we arrived at Angelina, about 15 mins before our 7:00 PM reservation, we were told by the bartender that we needed to check in at the hostess stand. My wife went to the hostess and told her that we had a 7:00 PM reservation and, according to our daughter, we were supposed to be on the second floor. I found a couple open seats at the bar so I sat and waited for the bartender. While we waited for our daughter and her boyfriend, we patiently sat at the bar, reviewed the cocktail menu and expected the bartender to take our order. Another group had left for their table so we moved to different stools so we had four (4) seats at the bar.

As we sat and patiently waited for several minutes, the bartender all but ignored us. When she did acknowledge us, she told us that we could get a drink at our table since our table was almost ready. She explained that we would have had to close our bar tab before we went to our table, so in essence there was no sense in her serving us a drink at the bar. Surprised by the bartender's comment, my wife and I looked at each other in disbelief since she, apparently she didn't want to go through the trouble of serving us and closing out the bar tab.

The hostess came over to seat us and gave us a table by the front door. When our daughter arrived she asked why we weren't upstairs because that was where she specifically requested a table and it was confirmed. We moved to the upstairs seating area which was more quaint than sitting by the front door.

Once all was settled, the food was good and our waitress was very nice and attentive. The 2 star review for service is solely on the bartender. I wish I would've gotten our waitresses name so I could acknowledge her in this review. Not sure I'll return because of the...

Moving back to Green Bay from Denver, I was a little concerned about finding authentic Italian food in my hometown. I was amazed when dining at Angelina’s with my family! Walking in, I felt like I was in a little mom and pop restaurant in a big city. Tastefully decorated and very welcoming, it was a cozy place on a cold Wisconsin night. Checked out the upstairs dining room which was perfectly peaceful for a date night, but since we had our middle- school boys with us, we opted for the downstairs dining room. We were met by a sweet hostess- who had a beautiful Italian accent. Told her it was our first time dining there and she gave us some great suggestions. Our server greeted us in a timely manner, and had an excellent knowledge of the menu. We started with the pesto crostini and the Caprese salad. Both out of this world, flavorful, and the balsamic was so fresh and delicious. We were brought yummy bread before our meal. We met the Chef who believed in real food, authentic flavors and was from Italy. My husband had the special which was a ribeye marinated in Brunello wine served with pesto gnocchi. Very tasty! I had the shrimp linguine, which had a nice garlic, cream sauce, and I even had enough to take home for lunch the next day. My boys both had the Jordan Love pasta! The sauce was similar to an Alfredo, but lighter and more flavorful. The presence of nutmeg was perfectly paired with the cream sauce. Topped with grilled chicken, my boys were able to take the rest home for lunch as well. I was floored by the portion sizes and thought the price points were fantastic. We had a dessert of gelato and tiramisu. Both outstanding! We also had A bottle of Italian wine, very reasonable priced! The presentation, flavor, portion size, and overall experience was fantastic! We talked to the owner who told us about the summer patio, can’t wait to check that out! I would give this place five stars! Go with your family or with your date. You won’t be...

I have been sooo excited to try this place for years….I finally got the opportunity! The limoncello cosmo martini is delicious! I came with a group of 10 ladies…also very excited. Service was slow but they were busy and patience is the new normal. We ordered food. We were informed we would receive bread for the table. Entrees started coming out after a significant wait. We asked 3 different times when the bread would be coming as we were hungry. We received entrees with no bread. One entree missing. Was not able to be located and another one would be made. My entree seemed to be missing the beef that was supposed to be there. I was informed it was in there in a jellied form. I tried a piece of this. It seemed like a jellied veggie. I informed the waitress this was not what I was expecting, and I returned the meal to her. The missing entree was remade 30 minutes later after everyone else finished their meals. The bread showed up 15 minutes after the entrees with an apology from the waitress she forgot. We received 2 small bread plates…all of the tables around us received 1 plate for 2 people. We received 2 plates for 10 people. They offered me a different meal, I did decline as not wanting to make everyone wait to for me to finish. We did ask for seperate bills in the beginning. They came. I was charged full price for a meal I did not eat as well as gratuity on it. I was confused. I didn’t eat. I went to the bartender frustrated. I was told the Chef did not feel it was necessary to take my meal off. I expressed I would not like to pay for a meal I did not eat, let alone the service issues we received. After hesitation they removed the food charge for the food not eaten. I did not mean to offer the chef…my apologies. I heard the others food was good. I won’t be returning to try. Really disappointed. I went to a place down the street and ate an...
