Been here 3 times and it’s been decent. It’s best described as a local Chipotle/Moe’s style restaurant where you build your own burrito, bowl, etc. But the most recent time I went I was less than impressed.
For a $12 burrito you expect to be full. But they’re really starting to skimp on everything. I always ask for a scoop of both lime/mexican rice and black/pinto beans like I would at Chipotle or Moe’s.
But this time the person behind the counter said they can only do one of each for the rice, and said he could do both beans though and proceeds to scoop 1/3 (1/2 if lucky) spoon of each of the 2 beans.
When adding all the ingredients you would think it was all coming directly out of his own paycheck, when asking for more habanero pickled onions because of how little was put on the burrito he said that’s all they had (at 6:30pm - they close at 9). They’re the best part if you ask me.
So after paying over $12 for my burrito and picking it up I noticed how tiny it was. I wasn’t really surprised seeing how careful he was when adding all the ingredients, but definitely irritated. It was the same size if not smaller than a large grilled cheese steak burrito from Taco Bell but nearly double the cost.
Before this visit, it was OK for the price/quality seeing as it’s locally owned. But now I doubt I’ll go back.
I could nearly wrap my fingers around the entire burrito (picture included). Rice, beans and lettuce is cheap AF. There’s no reason to be that tight on the cheapest ingredients on the entree.
Was not filling whatsoever. Rather go to the other dozen Mexican restaurants that charge $10-$12 for one the size...
Read morePassed this place while hour away from home and wanted to try it but had a bad experience with the eldest son. Ordered pastor I'm familiar that it's cooked with pine apple but I did know they were going to add 1cup of canned pineapple to the 1/2cup of meat. As soon as I noticed(while it was still on the grill) I asked if i could get it without the pineapple. He was clearly mad, ignored my request and helped the next person in line. He then put the cooked meat and fruit on the burrito even after my simple request. He use his gloved hand to dig thru the meat/beans/rice and remove the pineapple but was not successful. I asked again if i could just get it with no pineapple and explained to him that I didn't know they would add extra fruit, it's not listed anywhere. He ignored me again, helped the next person check out, while my burrito just sat there. I said if I could get a different meat he just kept saying "yeah sorry" attempting to refuse me service. So I asked the "parents" for help they helped me with no problem. The elder son removed his apron and ran into the back kitchen after he saw I was getting helped... It was very delicious and I want to go back but unfortunately because of that experience I'm not sure I definitely don't feel comfortable and if I do go back I will be asked to be served by someone else. I can't remember his name exactly maybe Joaquin?or Javier? I felt really bad for the rest of the family they were clearly embarrassed by his actions..I did...
Read moreTonight, we ordered a take out order for supper from Ricos, on MilitaryAvenue, in Green Bay, WI. Our order was ready when we arrived for pick up, and all items that we ordered appeared to be accounted for in the bags. Great start! Well, that's the only positive thing about our experience. We will not be returning customers of Ricos. The first time we went, the food was delicious! 2nd time, bland and cold, without any toppings. Then tonight, our 3rd time, not impressed! My nachos (which were $10) included chips, with a scoop of hamburger meat and a sprinkle (*literal, light dusting) of cheese. The chicken in my chicken tacos was provided to me with no seasoning, whatsoever, and was dry. I ordered shredded chicken, but it was put on my tacos in large chunks. So it was even more annoying that they forgot my cheese and sour cream I ordered. So it was a no from me. I threw out 2.5 tacos - the dry chicken, plus the dry corn tortilla. It was so dry that I could hardly swallow it! They give no salsa or anything, either. Same for my boyfriend's steak burrito. Bland, and nothing except meat in it with some rice! Oh, and the side of pinto beans. Literally had no salt/no bouillon in them, they had to have boiled the beans in plain water, mashed them up, then put in my container, literally the worst I've ever tasted. It was like baby food (that's not an exaggeration). I guess that's what you get for $40 nowadays! I definitely can see why they had not even one customer in...
