Abysmal If I had to choose one word to describe my experience with Toppers Pizza Tonight, that word would be Abysmal. a¡bys¡mal adjective extremely bad; appalling. synonyms: very bad, dreadful, awful, terrible, frightful, atrocious, disgraceful, deplorable, shameful, hopeless, lamentable; informal,. rotten, appalling, crummy, pathetic, pitiful, woeful, useless, lousy, dire, the pits 7pm confirmation email of order was received from online ordering indicating 7:37 as the estimated delivery time. 7:50 (pizza is now 15 minutes late) called the store, was immediately placed on hold, gave up after 5 minutes 7:55 (pizza is now 20 minutes late) Called again, was immediately placed on hold, only word we understood from the please hold statement was the word hold, the rest was unintelligible 8:05 (pizza is now 30 minutes late) Someone finally came on the phone. Excuses included: ⢠Online ordering only uses a generic delivery time not real time ⢠We are busier than usual ⢠If youâre under time constraints, you should call the store If youâre going to push online ordering, then put systems in place to provide accurate time expectations If youâre so busy that you know youâre not meeting the time expectations, call those orders back and verify they want to keep the order The whole idea of ordering online is for ease of ordering what I want, not guessing ingredients but seeing the selection.
Phone person did offer to promo the pizza and send out a coupon in the mail, which is the correct way to handle a complaint, and assured us the pizza was on the way. We live 1.3 miles away from the store. I can walk there in 15 minutes, 20 if I take my time. 8:30 Pizza is here.⌠almost an hour late, but itâs here.
Quality: Pizza was not hot, not even warm, even the box was cold. My iced tea from this morning was warmer. Visually it looked ok. Lots of the toppings we ordered, no skimping in that department. Taste, well cold pizza never tastes very good.
Overall impression: The entire hold time, as we waited to speak to a real person, was all about the wonderful online ordering experience, yet the phone person shot that in the foot with the comment, you should call the store. Hold times of 5 to 10 minutes is never acceptable, nor is being unintelligible. Speak clearly and at a speed people can here. Donât open with ????? hold please. Try âthanks for calling toppers, will you please hold a moment.â At 2 minutes, check back with your phone guest. Iâve worked call centers, itâs an expectation.
You are running a 50% promotion, on the last day of school, on a Thursday night. That promotion is expected to drive new business and generate repeat guests. Staff accordingly. I ordered a pizza because I didnât feel like cooking and because I am hungry NOW. I donât want to wait while I cook food. I want food as close to NOW as possible. I could cook a multi course meal, with dessert and have it eaten, and dishes washed in the time it took to get my pizza. If you know you are struggling to meet expectations, call your online guests and give them the option of cancelling or keeping their order. Donât wait until they are pissed off enough to call you. If someone had called and said we got youâre order, but we are really busy and wonât be able to meet your time expectation, did you still want your pizza, I would have said no, Iâll just cook or order somewhere else. HOWEVER, I would not be writing this review, nor considering whether or not I will ever order from Toppers again. I would be pleased with how the problem was proactively handled. You would not have made money from a sale, but you would not have had to give a free pizza, plus send a coupon, plus alienated a customer to the point of writing a review, publicizing it on social media and potentially costing you to lose not just 1 but many customers. Statistic, a happy customer says nothing. A very happy customer tells 1 or 2 friends, an angry customer tells as many people as he...
Read moreI had a really rough day the past couple of days. So I thought Iâd order some pizza since I didnât want to cook and I wanted to chill out and recover from a strenuous week. I have a tomato allergy so I genuinely love this store since I can order myself pizza I can actually eat, and itâs genuinely deliciousâ I love everything about this place.
And then I got my food today, and it was a simple mishap, accidentally got cream cheese frosting instead of the cream cheese spreadable and I called and they said weâll remake it! And I was totally chill about it and called my sister to laugh about how I accidentally tried something so odd, and as I looked over my receipt, I realized Iâd made a vital mistake when ordering my pizza. Instead of the hand chopped garlic, I put the garlic-roasted tomatoes. No, I didnât right? To my horror as I opened the box. I realized I did.
Now, surely this is just a simple fix of picking it off and eating it anyway, right? Nope. Allergy, and I hate the taste of tomatoes. So I started crying, the stress of the past few days made it easy and I called them back to explain what happened and that I was hoping they could hold off delivering the mac and cheese until I could reorder everything. The gentleman who helped me both times, please give him a raise because he went over the moon for me. He covered my mistake when he didnât have to, he got my food fixed, and he was absolutely sweet and genuine about it. Also the man who redelivered my food to me, he was a champ through this.
I almost never write reviews, I really hope the manager of this location does take the time to read this. As of right now, itâs February 17th, 2022. This all took place between 2:50pm to 3:20pm. Thank you guys, youâre literally my favorite...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would! After my experience with this restaurant they have lost my service. I will now drive across town to the East Side or DePere if I ever get the cravings for toppers again. Put an order in at 5:14, for triple order of topperstix and monkey bread, when I got the confirmation email right after that stated it would be ready by 5:29, I had to run one quick errand while I waited, and didnât get to Toppers till almost 6 to pick up my order, paid for it and the only thing they had ready was the monkey bread. The guy working the counter yelled to the person in back asking if he had the stix ready and he didnât know what this guy was talking about. Poor quality of service, if I wanted to actually wait for an order I wouldâve came in and made it and sat and waited. Wasnât given an apology or any compensation, not even fresh monkey bread as I sat there for 15-20 minutes waiting for my topperstix the bread got cold. Need to get people in that arenât lazy, and are willing to do there jobs and at least apologize for the...
