To quote what another reviewer said, “this place is in significant decline…” My family and I have been visiting this bar on and off for a couple of years but tonight on top of the service being terrible (definitely understaffed), the ceviche (which is not on the menu) and the hummus was outrageously priced and extremely underwhelming/disappointing. I paid about $18 for a ceviche that had just 1 medium-sized shrimp amongst octopus and other tiny shrimp with a distinct bitter lime taste. $15 Hummus was also not pleasant, unfortunately. We spoke to the chef, who told me to my face they had included at least 3 jumbo shrimp in the ceviche when I was explaining that it was just 1 that had been cut up… Then, we also mentioned the terrible quality of the ceviche to the manager and he did not even apologize for the quality of the food and/or service. This place is in significant decline, my family and I enjoyed visiting often over the past few years. The food is always good however there is a large turnover in service staff and prices have risen out of control. Wally has become bitter and downright rude to patrons actually cursing in front of small children during a lunch crowd. He obviously has had enough and is ready for a change of scenery. Hopefully the place gets new management before going out...
