My Honest, Splendid, but still Objective, Review:
I treated my dear Mother to brunch today, 13 October 2024, where we had the pleasure of being served by Miss Skylar at First Watch in Uniontown, Ohio. My word, we were deeply impressed by her genuine humility, affable disposition, and extraordinary kindness. Skylar is a truly down-to-earth individual; she embodies the ebullience and spirit of exceptional customer service — with a remarkably refreshing touch of generosity.
[Skylar’s] congenial nature was evident from the moment we interacted [with] her. Despite her extensive, perspicacious knowledge of the breakfast/brunch menu and her evident skill in recommending the perfect meal or treat, she remained modest and focused entirely on making sure each customer (including us) had a great experience. Very attentive, too! Give that lovely young lady her flowers and decorate her with her very own merit badge, for she is indeed an exceptionally hard worker, managing multiple tables and hungry diners concomitantly! Her genuine approach made us feel valued, welcomed and appreciated throughout our visit.
What truly set Skylar apart was her heartwarming gesture that demonstrated her extraordinary kindness. Vacillating between the various menu options, I had enquired about the donut holes. Skylar's explanation was empirically incisive, saying that the donuts were 'absolutely delicious!’, a simple yet profoundly impactful act of generosity and honesty. Taking her word, I trusted her wholeheartedly. And lo! A beautiful bundle of donuts; the donuts were bowled and arranged neatly, as you can no doubt see for yourselves from the accompanying photograph. How about that?! Brilliant! (The donuts were, in fact, delicious.)
This thoughtful gesture not only brightened our morning but also highlighted Skylar’s remarkable character. It also enlivened my temperament and mood enormously. I thought it a most munificent, hospitable gesture! Her willingness to help others, without seeking recognition or reward, speaks volumes [about] her humility and convivial benevolence.
Skylar, in another magnanimous gesture, recommend I try the pecan salad. (I forget the proper name of it as it is printed on the menu. I do apologise, folks.) I respectfully requested that my order come without avocado and bacon (not to my personal tastes; I have an aversion to these foods) — which she assured me. A few short minutes later, my salad came exactly how I requested it. Generously portioned. Gorgeous presentation, too. Thanks, Skylar, for accommodating my meal and dietary preferences.
Skylar’s courteous actions have turned an ordinary visit to First Watch in Green into something special. Her blend of modesty, warmth, and genuine care [for] others sets a high standard for customer service. I was astonished and amazed by her one-of-a-kind charm, humour and vivacity. Additionally, the dynamism of her serving skills was simply sublime. She is a spectacularly swift worker!
If you fancy an experience that goes beyond just great breakfast and/or brunch food, Skylar’s exceptional service, cheerful and confident attitude, friendly and warm personality, and humble spirit make her a standout choice. Indubitably.
Thank you again, Skylar, for making our visit so memorable. Your humility and kindness are indeed notable hallmarks; they are truly appreciated and make you a remarkably valued part of the First Watch team! A special shoutout to Mister Fox, who is another hard working First Watch team member. A friendly fellow, he is a delightful chap, as well.
It is difficult to imagine more cordial origins than those of the genius now serving at First Watch in Green, who is, in this bloke’s humble estimation, nothing less than the finest server in town. We will be returning to First Watch soon,...
Read moreFirst time ever coming to First Watch and will definitely be our last. I want to make a note that our waitress we had was name Lauren. I wish I would have thought about taking pictures of everything before hand. We decided to sit outside as it was a nice day(terrible choice) there was so much food on the floor that there was a bee problem. Not only our table but others as well. Once the waitress brought our drinks out (we ordered water) we noticed in the pitcher there were specks of food on the inside of the glass. We half already poured into the cups they provided. Once our waitress came back we asked for new water and cups. Once she came back she only brought us a new jug of water and no new cups. Waited about 10 minutes and she never came back so I ended up walking back inside to get new cups. Once examining the new jug of water we noticed more food stuck in the inside. At that point my husband took the jug inside and a different waitress took care of it and gave us a $20 gift card for our trouble. Our original waitress took about another 10 min to come back to place our order. Once we received our order someone else in our party had an issue with their food and another asked for an additional ranch. At this point the whole table needs refills and she only brought two of the four drinks out and never brought any additional refills for the children at the table . Once she brought refills we again had to ask for more ranch as she never brought it out. A different waitress brought out the fixed food order thankfully. At that point in the lunch we never saw a waitress again. Never received additional refills never asked if we wanted a box to take the food home. A different waitress ended up bringing our bills out. I’m an extremely disappointed in the service we received today. I appreciate the $20 gift card to try and make up for the water issues but it is still not ok to server a beverage out of a dirty glass. I would highly not recommend coming to this establishment...

We asked to move tables because of how blinding the light at the table was. (To who it concerns - go sit for 5 minutes at the table closest to the doors with the blind-less floor to ceiling windows when the sun rising) Hostess, without an ounce of understanding, refused to reseat our table as there was a 3 top and 8 top on the waiting list.
To try to solve the restaurant’s problem myself, I wore sun glasses and a hat for the entirety of the meal. I still only got half way through before my table decided it was better to take the food home - as the incredible light from the blind-less window was frying the family like ants under a magnifying glass.
When we were leaving early, the waitress finally decided to acknowledge the swapping of seats that had taken place at the table. It was then that we explained the situation, which had already been acknowledged and ignored by staff. We were ultimately educated to leave a review on “the survey” and she alluded to the corporate nature of change needed to fix anything at the restaurant. (So Corporate, here’s your message). We didn’t bother to ask for a manager as clearly the problem was not going to be escalated any further, but obviously the manager (if there even is one) should have touched our table.
First Watch has been a staple breakfast spot that I have recommended and promoted to friends and family for years. Today, disappointedly, I am...
