Whitehouse Chicken — Restaurant in Green

Everyone raves about this place, but we found it to be just meh. Actually, I found it to be meh; my 18-year-old daughter called it "disappointing" and only took one bite before deciding she didn't want any more. We both found it to be very salty. I thought it was quite juicy, but the flavor is just odd. We did not like the fries at all (most disappointing part for me). I didn't even like the cole slaw. Again, others rave about the food there. I also wish I'd known before ordering that it takes 20+ minutes to cook as I had groceries in the car. I guess we got spoiled by the fried chicken we had in the south and aren't impressed with broasted chicken. Very nice, friendly staff in the store, and I really wish I could say more good things about the food. I mentioned to a co-worker today that we tried it and didn't like it, and she said she doesn't like it, either, but everyone else she knows does. I guess it's just a matter of taste. Nothing wrong with the food if you like it, right? We just didn't like it....

If you are missing the way White House barberton chicken used to be then you need to try this White House Green location! I had heard of this location but never tried it. It was like stepping back in time to when barberton chicken earned its place on the map! The same thick breaded, crunchy, juicy and flavorful chicken from back then is actually what this green location is all about. I didn't want to leave a review the first time that I tried it because I wanted to see if it would be consistent. I ordered on a different day and time and it was still as unbelievably good as it was the first time. They are extremely friendly. They actually listen and get your order right! I am very particular about how I wanted things cooked and packaged. Both times they were spot on. My only dislike was the coleslaw. It is lacking sweetness and is mostly vinegar tasting.
