The waiter was not concerned with making sure we had what we needed. He was too busy hanging out with the cook blaring music talking in the kitchen. After 55 minutes, we finally got our food. It took so long, the waiter had NO idea who ordered what. My wife's crepes tasted like they had just cooked them on a griddle that was washed with a 2 week old dirty mop. Which obviously made them inedible. When we told him he did not even apologize. When I got the check, he still had the crepes on there. I walked to the back to talk to someone and of course nobody was anywhere to be found. Two random girls came out of the bathroom and upon seeing me ran into the backroom. Our waiter came out looking kind of guilty about something. I'm assuming the two girls don't work there and were not supposed to be back there. I asked him about the check, and he immediately got defensive. I told him I have no problem for paying for the items we were able to eat but I would like him to remove the crepes because my wife was UNABLE to eat them because there was something wrong with them. He told me there was nothing he could do. I looked at him and said, she could not eat them because there was something wrong with them but you still expect me to pay for them? He immediately got nasty and said, well if youre not gonna pay for them, I'm going to call the cops. He told us there was no manager on staff to remove it. He was informed by another customer that he was to call the manager and get the ok to remove it. After arguing with him, he finally called the manager and insisted we were trying to walk out on the check. The other customer yelled at him to stop lying about the situation and tell them what is actually happening. I'm assuming after being chewed out by his manager, he came over with a revised receipt. This waiter should not be employed in any kind of customer service...
Read moreI just visited IHOP and I must say I was extremely disappointed. We stood up front waiting to be seated, and the manager had to tell the employees three different times that there was guest to be seated. The lady (not a server) sat us and got our drinks, and said Tammy will be with you in a moment. Tammy was so busy and flustered, that she had another server come take our order. The problem I have with this their was only 3 other tables in the whole restaurant.I asked our server about our food she said oh we only have one cook. It took a half hour to get our food and there was only one table ahead of us waiting for food. The other two tables were done and already paid.Tammy was talking to another table that she just delivered food to about how some people who don't work in the industry do not understand what it is like to work in a restaurant. We were the only other people in the restaurant, so she was obviously talking about us. What she does not know, is I have been a server for over 30 years, and yes I understand how things work in the restaurant business. I work at restaurant that is by far busier than IHOP ever will be, and we have 9 table sections that stay pretty full most of our shift, so their is NO EXCUSE in the world to have another server take your tables food order when there is only 4 tables in the whole restaurant. The food was excellent, but the service was way under par. FYI servers should Never talk about...
Read moreUnfortunately very disappointed in our recent ihop experience. We ordered online to pick up curbside. We have never used IHOP’s curbside pickup service before so, therefore, had no idea that there were pickup parking spots located in an inconspicuous location in their lot. We assumed they didn’t have any specialized spots. We parked in a random available space and waited. Since the order already included our car make, model, color and license plate number, we didn’t think it would be an issue. We didn’t hear anything for about 25 minutes after our scheduled pickup time, so I called the store. I was told that they would look into the order and they hung up the phone. We continued to wait. Finally, an hour after our order was placed and a full 45 minutes after our scheduled pick up time, someone called to say that they couldn’t find us in the parking lot. We directed her to where we were (with a clear view of the front door) and she handed us our bag of completely cold food. It wasn’t even remotely warm anymore. And we were made to feel that, since we were not parked in one of the spots that can’t even be seen from the front door of the restaurant, that we were to blame for the mishap. We were really looking forward to a simple, delicious breakfast and were just so disappointed in the experience. I don’t know if we’ll use it again, but I guess at least we now know where the hidden pick up...
