2/29/24: Just a quick update to my first review. The only thing that kept it from being 5 stars in my original review was the rice to protein ratio…too much rice and not enough protein. The owner responded to my original review stating they would make changes. And here we are today with those changes in place! Perfect amount of protein compared to rice now. Everything else was outstanding again today.
If you want an eclectic variation of great Asian food, from sushi burritos, poke bowls, ramen bowls, rangoons, katsu, to all varieties of boba, milk tea and sesame balls, don’t skip out on this one!
2/1/24 Review Update: Last time we were in they were out of sesame balls. They were kind enough to ask for my number and said they would call when they came in. Well here we are only a week later and they stuck true to their word. They texted as soon as they came in and we had to go try them.
Amazing. Fresh, hot, crispy on the outside with oozing sweet red bean paste on the interior.
Thank you for the personal call and making a perfect sesame ball!
1/25/24 Review:
What a fun spot with a unique set up inside for a boba/sushi/poke place. Super fun interior (see pics) with snazzy seating, foosball and even a pool table. Kids enjoyed it to the fullest.
Plenty of options for boba with many different varieties. We had 4 different flavors and they were all very tasty. First time having a sushi burrito and I loved it. Fresh, healthy and plenty of spicy tuna inside. Rice, sauces and veggies complemented the sushi very well. The salty and crispy seaweed, which acted as the tortilla, was perfect. The two poke bowls our table had were very good. The sushi itself is top notch as far as flavor and quality go. Honestly, the only thing keeping this from being a 5 star review is the amount of sushi in the bowl. The rice to sushi ratio was too high. Cut down on the rice, add more sushi and this would be a 5+ rating.
Loved the service. Friendly and helpful. I asked the cashier if they had sesame balls which is typically hard to find. He went to the head chef to ask, who then mentioned that they were out of it currently. Later, when we were all sitting down and eating already, the cashier came by our table and asked politely if he could by chance take down my number and would it be ok to call me personally when the sesame balls are in. I haven’t come across many places who would go this distance for service.
Food: 4/5 (fine tune the rice/sushi ratio in bowls and this would be a definite 5) Ambiance:...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went to this cafe for the first time yesterday and we were absolutely AMAZED how they went above and beyond. Excellent customer service, the food was absolutely delicious, as was the boba. We came in the cafe just about 5 minutes before 8pm and the lovely lady who took our order pointed out a deal they had going on that ended at 8, bowl of ramen (or a poke bowl or a sushi burrito, we just chose the ramen) with a free medium drink. We thought it was a great deal, so we got the ramen, drink, and a roll of sushi to share. Had she said nothing (like so many other restaurants would’ve) we would have had no idea and missed out on a great deal. We sat down at our table and waited for our order number to be called but to our surprise she brought the food out to us. Then when we looked at the food we saw they put extra stuff in our ramen and on top of that an extra bowl of miso soup, non of which we paid for. Then to put it way over the top, she gave us the cutest boba themed key chain I had ever seen, again for FREE. I have no clue if the only reason she did that was because it was Christmas or if it was because we were new customers, but either way we were insanely impressed by it all. A great first experience and great people working there and amazing food. I wish I could give a higher rating than just 5 stars because they are absolutely deserving of it and I can’t wait to go back. (Also wanted to note, we didn’t use it but they had game tables like foosball and the kids that were there loved it. Definitely a great place to bring your...
Read moreI recently visited Bobo Cafe/Bubble tea drawn in by friends and word of mouth that this place has good ramen and boba. Let me start with the only positive thing I have to say—the boba menu is fantastic. The drinks are flavorful, and the tapioca pearls have the perfect texture. If you're just looking for boba, this place has you covered.
However, the ramen is a complete disaster. The noodles were clumped together in one sticky mess, making it impossible to enjoy. The pork belly was so thin it could pass for tissue paper. I nearly wept to see the egg boiled to oblivion and no where near a proper gooey, jammy, soy-marinated egg. To make matters worse, the entire bowl tasted like propane from the charring process—completely ruining what should have been a rich and savory pork broth all I could taste was gas. I think the pork broth is a pre-mix and not made in house.
I ordered a basic bowl with just pork belly, marinated egg, and green onions. After taxes, the total came out to a staggering $20. For what I got, this is an $8 bowl, max. Actually, I wouldn’t even pay a cent for it. The ramen here is an overpriced disappointment, and I won’t be coming back to eat the ramen. Stick to the boba if you decide to give this...
