A family member wanted to surprise us with an Anniversary dinner and had food delivered. She spent $110... YES....$110 on take out. We had steak, chicken, shrimp, and crab. Salad, baked potato, loaded mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Well. ..smh... We recieve the food and immediately thought there was a lot of food missing because there were only 3 containers and bag of bread and a small container with mashed potatoes. My fiancee ordered crab and 16oz Ribeye with baked potato and salad. EVERYTHING WAS IN ONE BOX!!!! Minus bread and salad.. the baked potato was absolutely COVERED in salt and was overcooked. The crab was mostly shell. Steak was chewy. Salad was ok. I open my box and again, everything in same box. Steak was chewy. Chicken was cooked properly but was so over seasoned it was spicy. I got 4 shrimp even though additional money was paid to add it. 4 shrimp y'all. AND THEY WERE PLACED ON MY BREAD. So bread was nice and squishy 🤮 loaded mashed potatoes were just that, LOADED but taste was ok. mac and cheese wasn't bad. I understand that when you order on apps you basically have to choose everything down to a pack of salt. But including tip it was around $130. There was not 1 napkin, fork, butter or anything. Think what was the worst was everything being shoved in one to go container. So my fiancee ordered steak that ended up tasting like crab. The gallon of tea was actually amazing as far as flavor is concerned. Best tea I've ever had. But even after refrigerating it immediately, just the next morning it was sour. Want to tell my soon to be sister in law because I think she should get a refund or credit or something. But she was very excited about being able to afford to give is something as a $100 meal at home due to my fiancee having problems walking but dont want to seem ungrateful, well he thinks it'll seem that way. I think it will be worse to not mention it. But either way this falls on Outback anyway. Not delivery or the driver or us. I do understand there prob was an option to choose napkins,etc...but some ppl aren't aware of that. personally ive been in food industry 20yrs and regardless I still would have put napkins in the bag! DEFINITELY WOULD HAVE SEPARATED BEEF, POULTRY AND...
Read moreI was very disappointed with my first attempt to dine at Outback. I got on the waitlist from their website and received an email confirming the waitlist and estimated seating time. I arrive at the restaurant about 15 minutes early hoping to be seated sooner, but instead was told that my online check in didn’t come through and I would have to be added to the in-store waitlist. Mind you, the online waitlist was 50 minutes. Now I was told I’d have to wait another 40 minutes. Since my other restaurant choice had similar waiting, I decided to wait. My husband and I were celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary. I gave the host my cell phone#, he entered it into the computer there and I received an immediate text confirming I would be called when my table was ready. I then asked if there was anything that could be done since it was now looking like close to a 2 hour wait. The host spoke to another gentleman and told me they would work it out and it wouldn’t be 40 minutes. Since it was crowded inside, we went outside and waited in our car. After an hour with no text, I went inside to inquire. There was no one waiting to be seated and the same host proceeded to tell me that the computer wiped out my info and he couldn’t remember my name or cell number. I was so shocked and upset! He said he was sorry, but he did not look nor sound apologetic at all. So, I then said just forget it and walked out of the restaurant. We ended up at Chick-fil-A because it was 9:45pm by this time and we were hungry. Again, very disappointed at all the “system” issues that occurred with my attempt to dine at this particular Outback restaurant. At least Chick-Gil-A NEVER gets my online mobile order wrong and it’s ALWAYS their pleasure to serve me and my family. Outback on Westover Terrace in Greensboro, NC, could stand to learn a few things about customer service and redemption from CFA. I can’t rate the food nor atmosphere because I never made it past the host with all of the technical...
Read moreAvoid the Outback on Westover Terrace in Greensboro!!! Avoid the Outback on Westover Terrace in Greensboro!!! We went through the Outback app, and signed up for "get on the list," at 4:16 pm for 5:00pm seating. At that time the app said that there was "no wait". We arrived at the restaurant at 4:50 pm, and checked in. We were told "it would be just a few minutes because "the 5 o'clock wait staff had not arrived." At that time, two booths at the bar were occupied, as well as one couple sitting at the bar. We didn't see anyone in on the restaurant side. We took a seat, and waited. While we were seated, two or three couples came and checked in. The couple beside us that was there prior to us did get seated. While we sat there, three couples who came in after us were seated. At that time we went up to the hostess stand again. A lady that I assume was the manager, came up and when I asked about getting seated, she told me that "getting on list means nothing," and that they don't take reservations! When I mentioned what we were told when we arrived, she informed us that "I don't know who told you that, we have plenty of wait staff." She then told us "to go sit down!" (The young man who told me that was standing right beside her.) The restaurant was mostly empty... At no time was there a reference as to us being seated. As previously stated, several people who came after us, got seated, and this time we decided to leave. At 5:19 pm, we cancelled our reservations. We feel we were treated very unprofessionally, as we were not expecting to be treated like five year olds. We can't comment about the food, as we...
