My husband and I had dined here previously while on a business trip and staying nearby and had a wonderful experience. Not true this time around. The restaurant was fairly busy with the left side being busy with a birthday party and a couple of larger parties. They seated us on the right side which had one very large group of 10-12 women and 2 booths of 3, we made the 3rd booth of 2. Our waiter, Zachary, was working the entire right side. Upon being seated, Zachary came and took our drink order then left our table. Another employee brought our drink order and some bread/oil/herbs. Zachary was taking meal orders from the larger 10-12 top table then as he rounded their side of the table next to us, he stopped and asked if we wanted to order. We ordered a calamari appetizer but before we could order anything else, he turned back around to the larger table and finished their meal orders. We sat there eating bread/oil/herbs for what seemed like forever. We noticed one of the booths of 3 in the corner and the large 10-12 table received their drinks, appetizers and salads while we still ate bread and hadn’t even ordered our meals. Zachary finally came to our table and asked if we needed more drinks and I said “yes” and we would like to “order our meals.” He replied with, “just so you know, we’re busy and it might take a while.” I thought, we have already been sitting here waiting forever and you haven’t even taken our entree order. We finally ordered our meal and the wait continued. No one brought us anything, no drink refills, no appetizers, no salads. The table of 10-12 and the booth of 3 all now had received their entree’s by this time. Zachary finally came back around and asked if we had gotten our appetizer. I said no and we need drink refills. He sprinted away and returned with our appetizer and we had to again request our drinks to be refilled. Zachary then got us refills. The calamari was overcooked, hard, and had little calamari to it. We sat there again for a long time as the table of 10-12 ordered desserts. My salad finally came then almost immediately our food came. My lobster ravioli was good but my husband had ordered Shrimp scampi over linguine. He received a large bowl of linguine pasta in a lemon cream sauce that tasted terrible with 6 shrimp on top. This was not shrimp scampi. I told my husband to send it back but he said we had waited too long the first time and he wasn’t sending it back and waiting even longer. My husband was only able to eat the shrimp off the top. We spent almost 2 hours and a lot of $ in this restaurant and my husband left hungry. Needless to say, we will not be returning to...
Read moreWe were celebrating a relative's 79th birthday. We were trying to find a restaurant that we have been to, in a while. We decided on Carrabba's. We arrived at approximately 4:54pm and left at 8:02pm.
Let me take you on a course of our evening;
We did call ahead seating and was told it would be 15mins. Thirty minutes later we were seated at a booth that neither one, in our party of four could fit. We asked for a table and forfeited the booth. As a note, we could tell the restaurant was short staffed and compared to previous visits, tables were taken off the floor.
We should have left, but, we decided to stick with it. There were multiple large parties and we were neglected. In our party of four, it seems only three items were brought to the table from water, mixed drinks, salads, and entrees. I'm sure you are following me.
The last straw was waiting on one of the entrees while the three of us finished our meal. My Pollo Rosa Maria looked like it was heated in a bag and poured on my plate. I wish I took a picture, because the menu picture and what was on my plate did not compare.
I even got up and went to the kitchen and offered to take the break we requested to our table. We had to move the used plates to another table to give us room to eat our salads and entrees.
The manager came to us and apologized and offered to pay for our appetizer, dessert, and the lost fourth entree, which when received, was under cooked. I guess they didn't let the boiling bag get too hot.
Well, the waitress was unaware of what the manager offered and had to go back and forth to clear up the bill. We are also Dine Rewards members and wanted to get credit for our visit. We had to go back and forth with the desserts. Two in the party wanted cheesecake and the other two wanted tiramisu and the cannoli cake. There was no more cheesecake, I guess they gave them all away, the tiramisu was chocolate dream, and finally the canoli cake. We were so done at that point, we really didn't have to have the dessert.
When we finally received the receipts, on the fourth try, the phone numbers did not match to receive credit.
I ended up having to pay $56 for me and our birthday relative and apologized to her for what she had to endure for her birthday. At least the drinks were good
They tried and our 79 year old wanted to remind us that the government gave the restaurants money due to the pandemic and that they didn't utilize the...
Read moreUnfortunately this was one of the worst service and experience I had eating at a restaurant. Waited all day looking forward to dinner with my daughter and friend. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. We placed our orders and the waitress kept forgetting to bring out our appetizers. She brought white bread with one little plate of oil for 3 people. When we asked for more bread and oil, she brought the bread after 20 mins but no oil. The appetizer calamari was over fried and extremely salty. We asked the waitress for a meal recommendation, she had a problem with every menu, had not one good comment about any of the foods, I ordered salmon and told me to switch to a different salmon cause the capers were too salty, I chose garlic mashed potatoes and after she brought the salmon I waited 35 mins for her to come back and tell me they ran out of garlic mashed potatoes and someone automatically put down broccoli as a substitute on my behalf without speaking to me on what I like. Then I chose Parmesan truffle fries. 30 mins later no fries and had to track the waitress down to remind her of the fries, 30 mins later she comes back saying someone stole my fries and I will have to start over . So I said at this point you guys have to give me a dessert, she takes off and half hour later she comes back to hand us our bills and tells me she is on her way back with my dessert - chocolate brownie - I told her I don't eat chocolate brownie and would have preferred I was give a choice on what type of dessert, she said oh it's the only kind she could get without her manager making a big deal about it cause he has been in a "bad mood" . I could not believe what I just heard, needless to say she never talked to her manager neither was I given a chance to but was just told the mgr was not in a good mood. She proceeded to tell us she had asked her mgr to uncork a wine bottle and her mgr uncorked it with an attitude and was upset to help. Why as a customer do I need to know all that ? And what has me getting my food on time or properly address what happened got up do with me. This was poor customer service at its core! Absolutely disappointing .. to...
