I will NEVER, EVER go to this Chili's again. I will tell all my friends, family and associates to never go this Chili's on Gate City Blvd. Servers like Justice Baldwin and his manager are exact reasons why I cannot without conviction, say that these workers deserve $15 an hour. Don't get me wrong, there are those who deserve $15 and more, but these unprofessional, skill-lacking, poor excuses for food industry workers need to find a new line of work. We arrived after 10pm, and Justin asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We said no, he seemed taken back and said, "Oh," as he pranced away. After that it took forever for him to come back to get my family's order. We nearly walked out, but my granddaughter was hungry. When he took our order, he was busy talking to someone else at another table, thus not focusing on our order. When he came back with my granddaughter's chocolate milk, he didn't even look in our direction, he sat it on the table away from her, and she had to yell that it was her milk, to which she received no response. When he finally brought out our food, he asked who had what. Had he been paying attention he would have known that. To make matters worse, he forgot part of my order, and when he went back to the kitchen, I heard him yell that I was already mad. After he brought the missing part of the order, he handed me the plate while paying attention to another table and without coming to a full stop and I nearly lost control of the plate. The food was cold and awful. I finally asked him for the check and 3 to-go boxes and he asked me if I didn't like my service. I told him absolutely not. He asked what was wrong, I told him the food was cold and his customer service was mediocre. He sat ONE to-go box on our table and said he'd go get his manager. I heard him go in back and tell his manager that I was unhappy. Because we were sitting in the back, I could see his manager shrug his shoulders, then his manager walked out of the back, past us and kept going. He walked past us again going back into the back and still didn't acknowledge us. When we got up to leave, the manager finally said, "Have a nice night." I did not leave a tip, because he did not deserve one. And, neither Mr. Baldwin or his cowardly boss deserve $10 an hour let alone $15 an hour. If you don't want to do your job, leave, I know there are several of others who'd love to have your job and would do it the way its...
Read more7/24/24@8p Sometimes a bad experience can show you how good someone is. When we came to eat we were in a hurry so that we could get kids in bed. The host wasn’t at the front so a waiter came by and started getting us seated. I would later find out that he was the on duty manager as well.
Order our food upon meeting waitress since we were in a hurry while we waited on second half the party to arrive.
Other party came and they placed order maybe 15 mins later.
Waitress came back and said our original order never got put in. Not a huge deal but I could feel time escaping. We reordered.
Food took awhile to get to us but nothing crazy. Unfortunately a plain burger ordered for a picky child eater was slathered in mustard and mayo. Waitress took it back and put in order for correct burger.
The burger didn’t come for 30 mins which now put us about 90 mins in and way past what we could afford since we were in town for the Junior Olympics. Tried to find waitress to get check but couldn’t find her.
I went up front and the same guy that greeted us asked me how it went. I explained my frustration and he let me know that he was the manager and would make it right by removing the burger from the tab. He also explained how to pay the check at the kiosk on the table.
I went to my table to pay my tab and found that he removed 2 meals and then stopped by to apologize.
Working in food/service is rough. I appreciate him extending an olive branch to make my night better after it was evident that I was rushing with my mind other places.
I hope the GM reads this looks up who was managing that night as he did great. He was serving, keeping an eye on front, and...
Read moreAfter having a long rough day, I took my family to Chili’s and it is like my day got even worse! We were sat For 20 minutes before anyone approached our table, When the waitress finally came, she took our order before she asked what we wanted to drink, After she took our order, she passed by a few times without our drinks, Then she came back to the table to tell us that they did not have Pepsi products. Only Coke products, And when I changed my drink instead of her, going to get what I asked her to get, she proceeded to insult me by offering me a diet drink Instead of the one that I had asked for. I could not believe the audacity of this waitress, and when I Called her out she acted offended. After this occurred, I’m assuming she told the other staff because everyone who passed Stared at me with an ugly look. 10 minutes after that, another waitress came to our table and asked for our order again because the previous waitress did not get our order correct, At that point, I was extremely frustrated and asked to speak with the manager. While I waited on the manager, the weight staff began to come together a couple of tables down for me. I’m assuming to be nosy and hear what I had to say to the manager. Needless to say that the employees at Chili’s are completely unprofessional And have no idea what good customer service is! And I speak from experience as someone who was a server for many years and I have a lot of experience in customer service! I will never go to this Chili’s again and I 100% do not recommend anyone else dine there!! The staff is terrible and the employees are terrible. The manager did nothing but offer me a plate to go To try to...
