I arrived at Hooters a little after 6:50pm on 6/12/21. We waited around 2-3 minutes before someone came to the host stand. I was told there wound be about a 10 minute wait, but I’m not sure exactly why because there were SEVERAL tables and booths that were visibly open and empty and not due to safe distancing. I even watched a waitress clean off 2 tables…
There was a family of 4 who walked in. No one came to the host stand. They asked me how long I had been standing there and I told him and that I was told it would be a 10 minute wait but not sure why and they agreed and noted the empty tables too. After about 2-3 minutes, they said they must not want any business and then walked out. There was another guy by himself that walked out shortly after them.
At this point, I’ve very hangry. I hadn’t really eaten all day was already upset that the place I went to first, Smokey bones, said they were seating any more guest, even though there was at least 3-4 more hours before closing.
I noticed about 11-13 tables with people and a full bar. Not counting the waitress/bartender at the bar, there were 5 waitresses walking around. I people from 4 tables leave.
While waiting, a waitress came and asked if had our name down and then check it. She asked if we were okay with a low top table. I asked if any of the 4 empty booths (and I pointed to them) were open. She looked down at something and then sat us at a booth. But Catch this… the booth we were sat in, WAS EMPTY SINCE WE GOT THERE! Waited OVER 10 minutes for no reason.
It was about 7:06pm. Waitress came and took drink orders at 7:08pm. After ordering, I look at the entrance and see 2 parties of 3 standing to the door, waiting. A party of 1 came in and then a party of 2. Guess what? Still no one at the host stand. Lucky for them, someone came and put them all on the waitlist eventually. We didn’t get our drinks until about 7:16pm.
We then ordered food and finished around 7:20pm. I ordered 10 wings, 1/2 Chesapeake dry rub and 1/2 Texas Bbq dry rub. My bf ordered a burger and Tots. My sister got the 10 boneless wings and curly fries special with spicy garlic sauce. After ordering, I asked for our waitress for her name (since she never introduced herself). Her name was Katie.
While waiting for food, I noticed one of the people waiting earlier (around 7:08pm) being sat at 7:27, which is almost 20 minutes after they were already waiting.. Yikes! At this time, I looked around and saw 8 clean and empty tables in the middle of the restaurant and 2 empty booths.. I’m confused as to why there’s a wait…. Mind you, one ENTIRE side of the restaurant is closed…
At 7:41, Katie brought out plates, napkins, and forks. She stated that the napkins were a little wet due to the forks just coming out the wash. The food came out 2 minutes later, so 22 minutes after ordering, which isn’t too bad.
At 8pm, I look around and see at least 5 different parties standing by door and no host or waitress in sight… Eventually, waitress and presumably a manager came over. I’m not sure what exactly was said though. I also noticed that a table (party of 3) beside mine were sitting with no drinks or anything. They had been sitting there for at least 10 minutes, if not more. I really felt bad for them because the guy kept looking around. Turns out, they had the same waitress as us.
Regarding the food, we all enjoyed out food with no major complaints. However, my wings were small…. $14 for 10 small wings is crazy. My sister said the spicy garlic sauce was really spicy, and she likes spicy food. Oh, there are NO veggies on the menu at all… they could offer something simple like broccoli or green beans. At least celery/carrots for the wings…
Overall, the food was good but the service was SLOW and the wings were !!! Would I come back?

Read moreI am so embarrassed. I brought my friend here, who had never been to a hooters before. Upon arrival there was no one at the hostess stand, but we could see 2 servers next to the rear exit door taking selfies in the evening sun. We asked a server to seat us and she did. Then the wait. We waited 25 minutes before I asked the server who initially sat us if anyone was working our section. She said she would get our server. Another table in the same section asked someone to get the server as well. When she finally decided to grace us with her presence, she walked up to us and said LITERALLY "what do you want." We ordered 2 margaritas. She said, ID? Not do you have your id, or I need to see your liscense, just ID. We ordered our food and she turned rolled her eyes and walked away from us. It took another 20 minutes to get our drinks and the bar tender brought them to us. A table in the same section was seated 35 minutes after us and she brought them their drinks with out ever noticing or caring that we never got ours. Ours were watered down from sitting at the bar for so long. A different server started to ask us if we needed anything and OUR server stopped her, whispered something to her and the other server looked confused and walked away. OUR SERVER WOULDN'T LET ANOTHER SERVER HELP US. Now, after this interesting display and one sip of an extremely watered down Margarita (from the ice melting, I'm sure if it hadn't sat on the bar for a minimim of15 minutes it would have been fine.) I couldn't tell anyone I was unhappy with my drink. I'm fairly certain she never put in our food order, or if she did her intention was 100% to leave it under the heat lamps until it was reduced to dry disgusting jerkey, so instead of suffering any longer we left. I called the restaurant to tell someone that we left, first call I asked for the manager. They hung up on me. Second call I intentionally went to the to go line. I eventually got the manager after 15 minutes on hold. I told him what happened he apologized and offered for us to return. I told him I will not return. He was very polite and tried to help but at that point it had gone too far for me to be able to give this restaurant another shot. I am honestly impressed with our servers dedication to giving us the worst service I have ever had in my entire life. I might bring you an engraved trophy later boo boo.
Sorry Chris, this was the worst service I have ever had in my entire life. Hooters has captured...
Read moreMost horrible experience I have ever had a restaurant. My husband and I were a little prepared for the food not to be the best as first time guest since everyone states “people don’t go to Hooters for the food.” However, I expected the food to be eatable. The night started out with us having to wait when there was at least 10 empty tables in sight. Then once we finally get seated our server took 10mins before greeting us. We got the hooters combo appetizer which come out literally 2 mins before the food. The appetizer was barely breaded and cold on the inside. I got boneless bbq wings which I would not even eat due to how disgusting they taste. They tasted like undercooked pieces of chicken breast drowned in sauce. Thankfully my husband hates wasting food so he ate it. My husband entree was a made to order burger which was probably the best food we had all night. However, he even stated he can make a better burger than the one he ate which is saying something since he knows he doesn’t make the best burgers. Oh and we also got drinks from the bar. Which I do not know if they are new at making mix drinks but they were not good AT ALL. After all of this had occurred I was ready to go. I asked our server, Shaniah, for a box to go and the check. All she heard from box because when she came back that was all she gave us. We waited 15 mins for the check which never came! I finally saw our server by the host stand talking about the rotation for the sitting arrangement. I finally had enough to where I went to her with our card and asked if we could be checked out finally. Which she did finally at that point. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Extremely poor food. Poor service. And before someone states that maybe they were just busy. Let me go ahead and state they were extremely slow with employees standing around gossiping in the dinning room. Overall I do not recommend this restaurant at all! My McDoubles at McDonald’s up the street tasted a 1,000 times better!!!!! And better...
