Flavors are solid, if you can get them to send you their food... Terrible customer service combined with gross incompetence is not a good look.
Ordered more than $150 worth of food for me and some guests at 6:12 PM (through their website). Food was scheduled to arrive at 7, arrived at 7:15. Not a big deal, delays happen and it was only 15 mins... except they forgot HALF the order... We ordered 6 entrees with 2 sides each along with some other sides for the table. They delivered 3 of them and the chicken sandwich was raw in the center... The only sides that were delivered were the hush puppies.
Called the restaurant and they said that they would send out the missing food without charging us for it. We mentioned that the chicken sandwich was raw and they offered to send out the whole order again. Nice gesture since we already had to wait an hour to get half of the food the first time. No complaints yet. They tell us it will be arriving 8:07 PM.
At 8:20 PM we got a call from a person working for Doordash (the service they use for delivery). He asked about our order and we explained the issue and asked him to check that all the food was there when he arrived. He agreed, but said he didn't see anything at the restaurant to pick up.
So AGAIN we call the restaurant (8:30 PM now) and ask to speak to a manager as this has been a carnival of idiocy. The manager then tells us, as we can hear him dismissing (another?) doordash delivery person in the background, that our food was never put into the system, and it was never cooked... So after waiting over two hours, they didn't even bother to cook the food they agreed to send us. He said that they would not be sending us anything. By the time this conversation is done, the only food 4 out of 6 people had to eat was hush puppies and it was nearly 9PM and not a single thing was offered except a simple refund.
We have eaten here several times as the food was quite good. However, we have had issues with every recent order we had that led up to this fiasco and will absolutely not be going back. I recommend that anyone that wants good food find somewhere else to go as there is only a small chance you will ever get...
Read moreOkay... so this is the third time having this place! First was opening week, complete disaster! Only reason we chose them that night was due to watching the whole butt of pork at Stamey's BBQ on Battleground be dropped to the floor and then picked up and put back in the oven! But this isn't about them. Night one, we waited over an hour for food, as was most of everyone at that point. Because they were more concerned about drive through! The second time was months afterwards, and we had them delivered! Huge mistake! Then, everything was cold and terrible by the time it reached us almost 1 hour and 20 mins later. Tonight, 3/7/23 was the third time! And might be my final! Mind you, service was good, minus not being given our drinks when we ordered and having to go wait back in line for them! Great team, friendly service. But my problem is with the food. We ordered the Judges sampler - $34.99. This is the third combo on the list. Comes with 1/4 chicken (white or dark), 6 ribs, 2 strips of brisket, and some chopped porkBBQ. You get two pieces of corn bread, and two sides, which can be upgrades to pints instead of indiviidualsfor only $5.00. Which we did. This plus our two drinks at $2.39 each, gives us a grand total of $47.79 after tax. The best part of this meal was hands down the mac & cheese! The fries were luke warm when they hit the table, (7 mins after we ordered) and due to the extremely cold a/c atmosphere inside, they were cold before we got two bites. Same with the meats, the whole meal was cold in mins. The brisket was tough and dry. The ribs were undercooked and couldn't be gotten off the bone. The pork was okay after sauced and the chicken. Was at least moist. Needless to say, there is definitely room for growth. Maybe with the help wanted sign out front, they will get it. Now for the good, those sauces are straight fire! All of them! The original is okay, but in order of my favorites. #1! Definitely the Swine Wine! love a vinegar base! #2, the LowCo. The mustard based is both tangy and sweet! The other two, Sweet City, and Brush fire, are great by themselves but AMAZING together! So they tie...
Read moreUpon entering the establishment, the tantalizing aroma from the smoker immediately aroused my senses, hinting at a promising culinary experience reminiscent of the esteemed "Mission BBQ" chain. However, my enthusiasm was somewhat dampened upon perusing the à la carte menu, where the absence of combo options and the unexpectedly steep prices left me slightly disappointed.Nevertheless, the service provided by the affable woman behind the counter was commendable, as she graciously guided us through their offerings with informative flair. As for the ambiance, while embodying the quintessential charm of a barbecue joint, it was marred by a lack of tidiness, with several tables in need of attention and the area designated for plate and tray returns in disarray. When it came to the fare itself, the culinary journey presented a mixed bag of delights and shortcomings. The pulled chicken, albeit flavorful, erred on the side of dryness, while the brisket, though rich in flavor, suffered from an excess of fat. Notably, the wings, infused with a pickle brine before undergoing the smoking and frying process, offered a unique twist, albeit with a discernible pickle undertone. Regrettably, the green beans proved to be overcooked and excessively mushy.Yet, amidst these culinary highs and lows, certain dishes emerged as true stars of the evening. The fries, boasting a delightful crispness, were nothing short of delectable, while the fried okra showcased a sublime combination of texture and flavor. And let us not forget the succulent pulled pork, a veritable highlight of the meal.In conclusion, while my dining experience warranted a modest three stars, reflective of the commendable execution of some dishes juxtaposed with the shortcomings of others, my verdict remains somewhat ambivalent. The allure of the exceptional offerings is tempered by the hefty price tag, leaving me uncertain about a return visit. Only time will reveal whether the siren call of their culinary creations proves irresistible despite the financial...
