Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Greensboro

I love Dairy Queen vanilla ice cream so much that I looked past the lack of hand hygiene and food safety, which is just crazy. On multiple occasions, I've observed workers at the Stanley Road location take my order after handling money, then turning around and preparing my order without washing their hands or putting on gloves. Today was the worst: The manager took my order, then was doing something with the cash register and some receipts in her hand that delayed her taking my money and giving me my change. The worker prepared the medium cone I ordered without washing her hands. She turned around and stood there holding it by the cone, not the paper sleeve, while we waited for the manager to take my money. When the worker grew tired of waiting, she put the cone on the counter and slid it forward closer to my side instead of putting it in the cone holder. Recall there is no paper covering on the bottom of the cone. So, my cone basically just collected all the nastiness on the counter on its bottom. The manager never said a word. Young staff unsupervised. Manager owner whatever she was look like a wreck on her phone while at register. Smell like it was wiped down with a milky rag. And noticed no gloves on. Especially when they were making so much banana split where they tried to cut the banana and flip it onto the tray which of course it was not easy they ended up putting their hands on the banana wiping their hands on their pants and you could notice if that's what that young lady did all day long she had a banana smear from where she's been wiping her hands all day long on her pants on her thigh part. Disgusting. I grew up in Dairy Queen ,love it this was my first time visiting this Dairy Queen since I'm new to this city, and I won't be back for quite a while and then I'll probably just peek in to see if any changes have been done, and if i feel like it hasn't I'll keep going the other way. Ok I’ve been meaning to write a review, I’ve not been in your establishment in a month due to after 3 attempts of coming into your store, I only come because I love your Strawberry Smoothie!!! It’s best hands down but the last three times I’ve came in I’m told you’re out of ice!! Are you really out of ice? I mean gas station is next door, I’m old school and if we were out of something once, I’d make sure this wasn’t an ongoing issue. Additionally, the manager makes a great job and fills the smoothie to the top, others lose a lot of the smoothie, maybe it’s too thick to get out but let it mix longer or just get a spoon n get it out I dunno. Anyway, I gave 3 stars because when you have ice, it’s delicious but no ice and I drive 20 miles one way to only come there I have to give it 3 stars for no ice and I wanna trust what they say but I find it hard to believe and it’s an easy fix, if it were me I’m an over achiever n I’d go next door n get ice if we were out just as local mom n pop...
