As you know it's Autism Awareness month, my friend experienced a horrible interaction with the employees at McDonald's, 617 Green Valley Rd, Greensboro, NC 27408 today at 8:15 on April 12th. As parents of children with (ASD) Autism Spectrum Disorder we believe that there needs to be more awareness and I would like to share her story with you.
Severely disappointed in McDonalds on friendly ave I use to go here because I felt my children were welcomed, use to go to all children events here but tonight the treatment we got was completely different No child should have to leave a store or a restaurant embarrassed because some grown adult not to mention they were all employees including the manager laughed and talked bad about me and my child because she had a panic attack in the restroom. Marrie knows she has asperger's and anxiety. Marrie wanted to go to the restroom and ended up having a panic attack and scared to move due to the fact she did not realize it was a automatic toilet I was sitting down with her siblings and I heard Marrie screaming I tried to open the door and couldn't so I asked the employee (girl #1)if they had a key to open the door that Marrie was scared and wouldn't move she looked at me and walked back to the kitchen what I thought was going to get help or the key but she decided to talk and loud enough for me to hear and laugh with the manager (girl #2) and a Male employee decided to join them and laugh along only one employee tried to help but he was a Male in the women's bathroom he wanted to go underneath but Marrie was not dressed she was still sitting on the toilet when we finally got the door open, I saw my child sitting their crying her eyes out and covering her ears scared because she sat on a automatic toilet seat. It broke my heart and hearing them in the background laughing and teasing made my blood boil YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT SOMEONE CAN BE GOING THROUGH SO INSTEAD OF SITTING THERE AND CALLING ME A BAD MOTHER AND SAYING SHE'S DUMB CHILD YOU COULD HAVE HELPED my child said to me mommy I'm so embarrassed a 8 year old little girl hearing three adults talk horribly about her over something she...
Read moreSo I just went to this McDonalds again. 2 yrs after the first post. Drive thru was pretty long line so I sent inside and placed my order on the kiosk because there was no one at the counter. It was not crowded inside. After waiting 15 minutes with zero acknowledgment I leaned over and asked if there is anyone to help the customers at the counter waiting. She, the manager, said yes. I said “I’ve been waiting 15 minutes for fries and a drink”. She said, “oh, I didn’t know you ordered fries”. I showed her my ticket and asked if the order doesn’t come back to them? She said “you haven’t paid for it, that’s why you don’t have it” I said, there is no one here to pay.” She then started raising her voice to me. I said I will never be back. She continued to yell as I left….then she gave my fries to a customer that was waiting behind me. Management and customer service here is horrible!!!!!
Two stars only because I got hot fries and my tea was good. I have been through the drive thru several times in the past coue of weeks. Come on MANAGEMENT! The folks, today a young lady taking orders and the young man at the second window handing out orders, not friendly at all!! McDonalds was the first job I had as a teen. "Thank you for choosing McDonald's, may I take your order" was a requirement. Upon picking up food, dining or drive thru, Thank you, have a nice/great day, ALSO required. With a SMILE! If the employees do not have set standards that are required by YOU, the management, then reviews like this should be very common, which looking at them, this is the norm. It is the SERVICE INDUSTRY. The young man today handed me my food and barely even turned towards the window and said NOTHING. I said have a nice day to him and I got a "go to hell" look. The young lady at the first window told me the cost and said nothing else. Oh and btw, let her know that wearing g the mask doesn't work unless your nose is covered too, shows lack of...
Read moreThe thing about McDonald's is they don't care about these reviews because they are still making a profit at this location and many others but our experiencewas so bad it is comical so here i am leaving a review anyway. The dining room was open and since we were only grabbing drinks and the drive thru line was around the building we decided to go inside. There was one newish guy at the counter, 4 people/families in line. We ordered at the keyosk because it seemed quicker. Literally just ordered two large fountain drinks. While watching two employees sweep the dining area so slowly and the new guy struggling and a customer yelling at him because her coupon was invalid for 5 minutes I decided to just step up to the counter to ask the drive thru bagger to grab us cups. Waited there another 5 minutes and no one had moved. The kid was still getting yelled at by the customer who was just rude the employees sweeping were still in the same section sweeping the same spot and the drive thru bagger looked stressed. I went to ask the employees sweeping to help us and as soon as they saw me coming they went into the restroom. I finally decided to interrupt the new kid from getting yelled at and he was more than happy to take a break from his post and grap our cups. We went to the drink fountain station and I had never seen a grosser drink station. I feel bad for every employee at this location and feel bad for the 3 people behind the screaming lady because who knows how long they were there. I don't go into Greensboro much so thank Jesus I can easily avoid this location. I'm sure if you work here and try to turn in a 2 weeks notice they'll give you a raise, there is no doubt in my mind that they aren't paying enough to make it worth putting up with the clientele and the unreliability of your coworkers. Good luck if you are still sitting in the drive thru line and just now seeing...
