We made reservations for 6:30. On arrival the staff found our reservations but seemed confused. We were taken to two separate tables, during this time three or four staff members were conversating back and forth and seemed extremely confused about where to seat us. It was awkward watching them go back and forth. I'm not sure what the issue was, it gave us the impression that the staff was either new or not very knowledgeable with their process. The first table we were taken to was decorated and the second table was not in which the server did bring over some confetti and put it in the middle of the table (we noticed this confetti was a lot lower quality than what we have seen in the past we were a little disappointed). We were seated in a smaller portion of the restaurant which I assume, based on video equipment, was reserved usually for business parties. There were two other couples in the room with us. One was celebrating their anniversary as well. While I understand you can't control who visits your restaurant and what their parties are going to be like. I do feel like thought could have been used and to not put two larger (and very loud) parties, especially those with young children, in-between couples who are celebrating their anniversary. I understand that you strive to be a family restaurant and I have no problem with children as we have four of them. However, when your website raves over the romantic ambiance that is to be expected at your restaurant, I just feel like staff Could be more thoughtful in the matter. The children in this group we're up and around the table, watching videos on mobile devices (without earphones) while the adults were snapping pictures with flashes. And honestly one of the members of the party was wearing perfume that was so strong it was incredibly hard to enjoy our meal. I feel our waitress truly tried to make our experience great, however she struggled with menu items and policies. Even as far as suggesting inappropriate menu items after being made aware of allergies. I understand your rules may have changed, however in the past we were always offered a free dessert for our anniversary and even if we ordered the Ruth’s Classic we would usually get a third dessert to take home. This was not a big issue but just wanted to mention it. This was our seventh visit to celebrate our anniversary and honestly was the worst experience we have had. We have already decided that we will try a different restaurant in February for Valentine's Day as we are looking for a new place to have our traditional dinners...
Read moreI came to this location from out of state to celebrate one of my close friends graduating from her Masters program. We had a group of 12 and the dinner started at 8:15pm on Saturday. While the dinner started at 8:15 we didn’t even get to enter orders for drinks and appetizers until around 9:00. Those drinks and apps took 45 minutes to arrive which didn’t make sense seeing as though most of the group got salads or simple appetizers such as the beef carpaccio. Within the time of us waiting for our drinks and apps we were able to enter our entrée orders which we did not receive until 10:20. At this point many of us have had been at the restaurant for two hours and were just receiving our main course. Once the servers put our main course/meats down they informed us that on the way over our sides were dropped on the floor so we’d have to wait a little longer for those. Surprisingly those replacement sides didn’t take too long to come out but many of them came out cold which made us think they were old or had been sitting there for a long time. I personally shared three sides the lobster mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. While the mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts were tasty the lobster mac & cheese had NO flavor and the lobster was way overcooked. Our waiter had informed us earlier that the lobster mac & cheese had changed recently so I’m not sure if that had to do with the taste but I was not a fan at all. On top of the late food many of our steaks were over cooked (some more than others) despite us asking for medium cooked dishes which caused for one of them to be sent back to the kitchen. We also received a few incorrect items, for example receiving shrimp instead of the lobster tail that was ordered. Overall my experience was pretty terrible, this was my first time going to Ruth Chris but I’ve been to other steakhouses such as STK and was expecting the same type of service and quality of food especially since the food prices are very similar. The only thing that made my experience positive was our server Justin who did his best to assist us despite the kitchen and bar moving VERY slow. I definitely do not see myself going back to Ruth Chris specifically this location and would suggest that if you have a large party you choose a different venue.
Note: No type of compensation or replacements were offered for the ridiculously long wait or poor food quality despite us...
Read moreI have always wanted to visit Ruth's Chris Steak House for the longest! I finally visited and received the experience of a lifetime! I took my significant other there for his birthday. It was his first time here also. When I first walked in I was captivated by the beauty of the restaurant. So elegant!! Also, I am real big on customer service and this establishment delivered. From the front of the house, our server Justin, and Ian who was the manager. Justin was knowledgeable about the menu and recommended items to try. He was professional and had a great attitude. His uniform was clean and nice. The manager Ian walked around making sure everything was ok. This blew my mind because many managers just try to manage others from the back of the house. They established rapport by giving their names. I like to know who my server is first instead of the usual "What would you like to drink?" ( With no greeting) The food was spectacular from what I tried. They pride themselves on delivering "Hot" food. They have homemade dressings for the salad. I loved the complimentary bread and butter. Let me mention before I forget that they pay attention to notes made during the reservation I made. They knew that I was there celebrating a birthday. Justin acknowledged that at the beginning. They brought out a lovely artistic cheesecake with his name on it at the end. It's probably a lot more that I could say but will wrap it up by saying that I will be returning because of the hospitality shown by the staff. I felt valued as a customer. My only criticism is that there were too many dishes with garlic in them. I am not a fan of garlic so I was limited in my selection. Maybe garlic butter or garlic salt should be an option on the side. Nevertheless, like I mentioned before, I will be back. I have already started recommending this establishment to others. I already know what I am going to try next time. Great job to you all because of your commitment to deliver that WOW experience! A company who finally gets it when it comes down to customer service and the fact that I could have chosen any place to eat, but chose...
