Review of Copper River Grill
Copper River Grill is a popular casual dining spot known for its classic American fare, steaks, and seafood. With several locations, it offers a consistent experience that appeals to a broad audience. Here's a breakdown of my dining experience:
Atmosphere: The restaurants have a warm and inviting atmosphere, often featuring a prominent stone fireplace. It's a comfortable setting suitable for families, friends, and casual gatherings. The ambiance strikes a balance between a relaxed and slightly upscale feel.
Food: The menu boasts a wide variety of options.
Appetizers: The Alaskan Nachos are a standout, with crispy wonton chips topped with crab, shrimp, and a flavorful sauce. The baked parmesan crab dip is another popular choice, offering a creamy and cheesy indulgence. Entrees: Copper River Grill is known for its steaks, which are generally well-prepared and cooked to order. The menu also includes a selection of seafood, chicken, and pasta dishes. The portions are generous, providing good value for the price. Sides: The sides are classic American fare, with options like baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, and various vegetables. Service: The service is typically friendly and attentive. The staff is usually efficient in taking orders, delivering food, and addressing any customer needs.
Overall: Copper River Grill provides a reliable and enjoyable dining experience. It's a great place to go for a casual meal with friends or family when you're looking for familiar American dishes in a comfortable setting. While it may not be a cutting-edge culinary destination, it consistently delivers satisfying food and service.

Read moreWe waited 20 minutes to put our names in with the hostess( it wasn't even slightly busy) and after being sat, we waited another 10 minutes just to put our drink order in. We waited 20 minutes for my son's chocolate milk after receiving all the other drinks for our table, which is when we finally were asked to put in our food order in. We ordered some croissant rolls, I ordered a salad with no egg and no tomato with my entree and my mother ordered some she-crab soup with her entree and both the salad and soup were asked to be brought before the rest of the entrees. When my salad was brought to me it had egg on it and after waiting 10 minutes to find and grab our waitress to send the salad back for correction, the waitress walked away rolling her eyes and shaking her head. When she brought my salad back she came back with the rolls. The rolls where still raw. My salad instead of making a new salad, the egg had just been taken but not all of it. At that point we were done because we had been there an hour and had nothing but one drink and undercooked croissant rolls. We asked for a manager and half the table got up to leave. When telling the manager about all the issues, he looked at us and said that he didn't understand what the issue was and that the entrees were sitting in the window ready to go out. When I showed him the egg still in my salad, he looked me in the face and said that it was cheese. At that point I told him that I don't like being called stupid when it was extremely obvious that there was still egg in the salad and that you don't argue with the customer when it was pretty obvious that issues lie with the faculty.
After all of that we went to the Waffle House down the road and had all our food and we're eating in less...
Read moreSo I really wanted to enjoy my son's birthday dinner... The meal began by ordering, and I must say the server was fantastic at keeping us in beverages. The salads arrived 10-15 minutes later, but they forgot mine (brought 5 salads out for 6 people). About halfway through my salad, I kept chewing on a piece of what I thought was tough lettuce, but it proved to be a piece of plastic bag. Ugh. The server was very apologetic and even took it to the kitchen to show them, but a manager never came to the table. I was offered a replacement or different side, but declined. My ribs were not tender, to the point that I had to use the knife to saw them apart. My father ordered his steak medium and my daughter ordered her prime rib medium well. My dad's steak came out gray and dry, and my daughter's prime rib was pink throughout. They did make my dad a steak correctly to replace the dry gray one. Still a manager never came to the table. The split bills were delivered to my husband and father, supposedly my parents on one ticket and our four on the other. When I finally got to look at my parent's ticket, they were charged for 2 waters, a tea, a 1/2 rack of ribs and a steak (both early bird). They ordered salmon and steak from the early bird menu and both drank water. What the heck? This is not rocket science. My son said his pasta salad was lukewarm and tart. Here's not picky. He's 15 and eats practically anything set before him with gusto, so for him to comment on the pasta salad, it must have been noteworthy (negatively). Overall, I will try another CRG, but doubt I'll return to this one. I can spend my dining out dollars...
