Unfortunately I had a bad experience. My niece and I came in waited a few minutes and the guy sat us but he didn’t give us utensils or menu. Around 30 mins, he’s served his other tables but avoided eye contact at our direction, by the last few minutes we had eye contact twice but still he didn’t come. We started wondering if we had to order at the kiosk. I finally ask the girl server why we haven’t been seen and she asked if we’ve ordered, we said no, we don’t have menus, she gave us menus & said she’ll take our orders when she was done serving the table beside us. We start looking and by the time we were done looking at the menu which was only a few minutes, she was gone, so I ordered at the kiosk. The girl realizes we ordered at the kiosk and ask if we wanted to dine but we decided to take our orders to go because by this point a couple that came in way after us already got their drinks and side dishes & everyone else’s food had been served. Anyway, the food came out 30 minutes later and the guy that originally sat us down gave us our food but he didn’t even give us the canned drinks we ordered. I worked in the food and beverage industry, so this should have never happened. I want to give the guy slack but he really avoided us in the beginning and when we had eye contact he never said anything to let us know what’s happening or our menus at that. I’m disappointed bc soon as we got home the food wasn’t up to par and the cold noodle we ordered looked nothing like the picture, they used regular ramen noodles, it’s unfortunate bc we love Korean food. I’m sure after reading this both the servers will know exactly this scenario. I’m not mad at the girl she did what she could do but the guy just messed up all the way around to the end of the entire experience. I was nice to him but that was enough for me not to come back. I wish y’all best of luck and hopefully better serving training after...
Read moreHad the All You Can Eat lunch special with 7 of us today. The food was fantastic, everything was super flavorful and well prepared. We were asked to select 4 meats to begin, and they brought out two platters worth of the 4 selected. We asked for more of 2 specific meats as we finished them, and were denied and told we had to finish all of both platters before they would serve another meat. I asked why bring out two platters to begin with then? Just let us work through one, then order again. I was shut down by the server. I told her that I understood the rule, I was just trying to give her feedback. We weren’t there for volume, we like to try everything. Additionally Soup and salad come out in one bowl and we were given no smaller bowls for soup, so no one really got to enjoy the soup. I felt like we were being monitored the whole time and not in a friendly way. We dine out often and love having more Korean BBQ places in GVL…but as they say, you never forget how someone makes you feel. This was our first experience here, no one explained the rules, and I think a little more communication on how things work would have gone a long way to not make us feel like we were trying to get something...
Read moreWe are Korean bbq lovers so we decided to try this place. We did the all you can eat, 4 people. I docked stars because we didn’t have a great experience like all the other reviews. Our service was so painfully slow. Our drinks never got refilled. We had to ask 5x for more rice (and it was for only one refill). We had to ask 4x for our check when we were done… took about 45 min to get our check. We spent 2.5 hours there, no joke. Between dishes, we waited about 30 minutes… which is fine. They didn’t seem too busy either, we got parking right next to the door. We ask for extra sides about 5x. Our sides got refilled only once time. We never even got what we requested half the time. The meat was very very bland, which, I’m assuming because they are catering to the American taste. We’re used to more seasoning on our Korean meat. But what really made us not want to try it again was the painfully slow service. The waiter was very nice… but painfully slow, bless his heart. It was like getting checked out at a grocery store by a very frail old lady whose very slow and very nice and you don’t wanna say anything because she’s so nice… but man -...
